For me you have to see car culture and low rider culture in southern california to see how the lifestyle is. Remember my first time seeing it and was blown away. Then when this song came out my boy asked my thoughts and I said this is gonna be certified classic then saw the video with the cars and girls and we are here now.

2 live crew was having booty shaking in the 80's before even nothing but a G Thang came out. Watch War-Lowrider the culture was always there, at least west coast. The technology for hydrolics was at it's peak. But it definitley made it nation wide in 93 when nothing but a G Thang came out. Asian culture leaned more towards the tuner scene where speed and handling and drifting were more an emphasis than cruzing but this was also happening in the 90's

@ReactToTheWorld, speaking of 'truck' jewelry (big, massive jewels), look into some Eric B & Rakim or Slick Rick, Busta Rhymes, Biz Markie, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap & DJ Polo

I still don't know how Jay Z wrote this because this doesn't even seem like his Pen. The guy in the backseat of the car & always behind Snoop & Dre is the D.O.C, probably one the best behind the scenes guy ever, he was going to be the next big thing, when an accident left him with bad voice, He was with Dre on Ruthless and was the one who convinced him to leave, He is also interestingly one of the Co-founders of Death Row. He also helped Snoop in the early days on how to set up his Raps (giving him the iconic 1,2, 3 and to the 4 lines) Also as of 2022, each one of those 3 basically has owned death row, with snoop currently owning it

Dre, Snoop, PAC, they all started in the early '90's with Sug Knight's Death Row Records. Vanilla Ice was around this time came into conflict with Knight and eventually left the Rap scene for fear of his life. I don't recall seeing any booty shaking mv's til Death Row. Great Reaction. Thanks.😎✌️
@gamexsimmonds35812 жыл бұрын
Vanilla Ice stayed active in the rap scene for years after Suge threatened him. Also Dr. Dre started in the 1980s
@saiyongdawn77562 жыл бұрын
@@gamexsimmonds3581 Okay, yeah but he eventually left that world bc he said he was afraid for his life. However from time to time Ice has reunited with his fans. As far as Dre goes I thought he came on the scene in the early '90's but thank you. The years got away from me. Lol.
