I think the only way they can top it is having multiverse characters appearing in a similar way in Secret Wars
@velvet_thunder18352 ай бұрын
@JamesDarcon2007 yeah but im refering to the entirety of it all. Infinity saga had a clear purpose that connected every movie for 10 yrs leading up to end game. Secret wars will be awsome but the movies now dont feel like they have a common purpose. Feels like marvel is throwing a bunch of random shit at the wall
@JamesDarcon20072 ай бұрын
@@velvet_thunder1835 Phases 1 & 2 kinda felt that way... I mean the main purpose of phase 1 was bringing the Avengers together as a team. 2 was showing what they could do as a team, with the sprinkling of the Infinity Stones and setting up Thanos as a threat. Once Thanos was removed as a threat, the Avengers basically had disbanded, they realized they had done their duty. End of Phase 4 and thru 5 they're trying to reform an Avengers type team, but it is proving difficult to get all the pieces together. I think Brave New World and Thunderbolts will be the Civil War and Guardians Vol. 2 type of movies to bring cohesion and focus back to the MCU, imo..

Not a film, but if you enjoy fantasy as a genre, I highly recommend reading Brandon Sanderson’s Cosmere series. It was described to me as “the MCU in fantasy book form” and it feels just like an early MCU. It’s a bunch of different stories and standalone novels all set in the same universe, that are gearing up towards something massive. But just like the Infinity Saga, it’s not so much that it’s building towards something epic, but it truly takes its time and helps you fall in love with the characters.
