I actually picked it up at the library one day and returned it after two or so chapters because I literally couldn't get into it. Didn't grab my attention and I thought it was too slow paced. Then later I saw it again and decided to give it a another shot. Now it's one of my favorite books and I want to marry it. Can't wait too read the rest of the books. So cleverly written, captivating and well, I just really like Gansey haha.

Oh man. I marathoned the series a year ago and it affected me so freaking much. I would be only thinking about the books, about how much I wanted to be a part of them. I would listen to the only two songs that reminded me of those books and I would be up at night thinking and crying and thinking all over again. These books really really drained me. No book has ever had that kind of effect on me. So yeah I rated them 5/5 ..

I want to see more from Persephone. Her character design was so INTERESTING. While haters complain about the young teen characters and that they fit into cliches (which I agree and disagree with), the psychics and especially Persephone's character design was so interesting. I can literally feel her haunting energy and hear her small voice when Maggie Steifvater describes her.

I just finished this and OH.MY.GOODNESS. During for the first 100 pages I wasnt sure but then we got past the background info and I FELL.IN.LOVE. I'm starting the second book today. I dont have the fourth book yet but I have to buy it bc I'm just gonna marathon them now. I cant resist waiting and I need it to be ready when I get to it. (SPOILER COMING) when we found out Noah was dead I was in public but I got so shook and people were looking at me like I was crazy. But it threw me for such a loop. I want to know about Butternut (there's something up there). I cant decide whether I ship Blue with Adam or Gansey but I love that Gansey let himself be vulneravke in that one scene and Blue seems to trust Gansey more. But I think I like Adam better than him as a person up until the end idk though. I hope Gansey doesn't actually die too. THAT.ENDING.THOUGH AND THAT TREE. I kind of felt the same about Ronan. The dream part had me shook though. I want to know the secret!!!! Okay I think I'm done now
