Hey Emma! I did just recently purchase the whole series and am now on a reading marathon. I just startet Blue Lily, Lily Blue and I love it. More than ever reading means detoxing for me with this series. I can‘t just interrupt my reading and have a quick look through instagram. I need silence, an open window and time (a lot of time) to really focus on the text and enjoy the books. This never happened before but I love it. I feel sort of „cleaned“ after reading them. Like the trash in my soul was thrown out. Does this sound strange? Well, to come to a conclusion; you‘re the reason why I picked them up. I’ve read „the raven boys“ the first time last year around Christmas but never came farther than the second book because of life and uni. But your read-a-long in November reminded me about how much I liked the first book and I finally made time for them. I just wanted to say thank you to you, because you inspire me so much and got me to read them. P.S. If there are any strange phrases or grammar issues I‘m really sorry. English isn‘t my mother tongue.

Glad you brought up Maura and Blue. My mom recommended these books to me originally (she’s a teacher so she reads a lot of YA, and the student that recommended them to her is now my best friend!) and I see a lot of her and I in Blue and Maura. (We also love Lorelai and Rory ❤️). I want to wrap everyone in this comments section in a big hug and be friends. 😭 I love these books so much.

My teenager started this series, and said to me, “Mom, I think you will really enjoy these books!”... so she put it on my phone... because honestly as a mother of 3, who has time to actually read (well, now waiting in pick up lines at school, but that would still take forever)... I caught up to her in the series so we started to listen to the last book together, but unfortunately school has started and she doesn’t have time for me or the book... I’m in complete withdrawal! BTW Ronan is my favorite, hers is Gansie. (Did I spell that right?) 😄

I'm really bad at pitching book recs to people, and this one's especially hard to be concise about, haha. This series came up the other day with a friend and I had to tell her I'd get back to her with a yt vid about it bc I couldn't figure out how to explain it lol. But well put; I'm sending her this one! I love the main characters so very much, but my truest love goes to Noah, but my "I want that person as my best friend" love goes to Henry. What I love about this series is that I couldn't completely hate the bad people (the people against our beloved main characters).

I think Maggie’s blurb is so misleading, because they were the reason I didn’t pick up the books for so long but I just picked them up this much, and I am loving it but she honestly should have written the blurb.
