HOYOVERSE REALLY OUTDID THEMSELVES WITH THIS QUEST!! Really felt like a movie, like the music? The atmosphere? The story? The lore?? THE ENDING??? The cutscenes had me shaking with anticipation, the music gave me goosebumps ESPECIALLY at the part where Furina realizes the prophecy was wrong. It’s funny how Furina’s pneuma and ousia sides is simply a microcosm between her and Focalors (which was a huge hint for was was to come). Her pneuma side showed her physical self, the actress playing the part while her ousia side was her inner self which ties in with the meaning of ousia in Greek which means “spirit”. This Pneumousia theme also coincides with Focalors and Furina, Focalors being the divinity thus her spirit while Furina being the human, the physical, the substance form.

Something pretty cool was pointed out just as Furina was released; The difference between ousia vs pneuma makes sense when you line up all the respective characters together. To name a few.. Navia, Lynette, and Clorinde (Ousia) vs Charlotte, Lyney, and Neuvillette (Pneuma) What the ousia characters have in common is that they _don't hide their true selves._ They're all very genuine and don't hide much. Navia is sincere and honest, Lynette doesn't play a character for the stage, nor does she in general, usually being quite blunt and sometimes brutally honest. Clorinde is quite similar to Lynette in that she doesn't feel the need to sugar-coat her words, staying true to herself regardless. Now, as you may have already guessed, for Ousia characters it is the exact _opposite._ Charlotte is a journalist, and her job requires her to constantly try and get the latest scoop, or score some interviews. She also exaggerates stories as most journalists do! Lyney, obviously, is a tricky magician whose entire profession revolves around deceiving people. His whole thing is he is a stage performer. And Neuvillette, as the Iudex, hides his identity as the hydro archon from everyone. If you look at the other characters belonging to the respective energies, it's obvious this is what determines their type of vision, with Furina only confirming this. Now what makes this even MORE interesting is that the TRAVELLER is Pneuma. But, we don't exactly know as the player what the Traveller is hiding. I speculated it was merely their hidden power they had sealed away that was the catalyst for this, but after doing some digging in the older Archon quests, i remembered something VERY intriguing. In the _We Will Be Reunited_ Archon quest, where the Traveller sees their sibling for the first time in person, (for convenience purposes, assume the Traveller is Aether and the abyss sibling is Lumine) Rather than Lumine referring to Aether as the name the player gives him at the start of the game, she literally outright calls him "Aether." I sorta forgot about that since its been so long since I've played the older quests, but it does get me thinking. Why would the Traveller lie about their name? Are there even more secrets the traveller keeps, that, us as the player aren't privy to? Obviously yes, why else would they be Pneuma? ..but what are those secrets? I'm so hyped for Natlan, because if it's the nation of war, the Traveller is gonna have some badass moments where i am PRAYING they get lore. I just hope in the next couple versions they give us more info on the Traveller and their origins.

It could also work as pneuma being the spotlight since it's the light and ousia is the dark/void. Now if we put both sides of Furina, it makes the pneuma Furina the one who's in the spotlight and ousia being the one hidden away or the one who's hiding in the shadows/dark. Might be a long stretch but I think it's pretty cool :)

That is akin to the plan to save the twin bubble worlds from Sa's rules, by gaining the herrscher authority of Death/Rebirth through the enemy's system. The fact of unchanging fate already gave an idea of Teyvat being in the same situation as Honkai main universe, countless samsara, with the need of the outside variable to cut the threads of fate. Technically the traveller is the Elysia of the story, with their capacity of mimic elemental authority is akin to the divine key.

The entrance scene of Childe fighting the whale was so cool! Even the ending with the hand gesture (Which I assumed he wanted to fight Neuv, or just show off that Neuv is weak) was really cool! Focalors death and the mirror dance with Furina was so sad. Skirk using her powers on a whale, I am pretty sure it does not belong to any element that we know of? There were a lot of leaks that Skirk will become playable character and even be released during 4.0+ versions. But, honestly I don't see this happening as she doesn't wield vision, unless she gets one? Also the way she handles Childe is exactly how I visioned her relationship to be with him. But, I must admit, I thought she was gonna look older! Also, when she mentioned her master and asked us if we knew "Foul" (her master), I got so surprised that I didn't get option for "foul legacy", not even a thought. I just screamed to myself that I do know about at least that! lol

Did anyone realize that during the dance for Furina, she didn't have her two tails? She was just short hair- as painful as that scene was, its my favorite. Its so calming, also because I absolutely adore the theme of the opera epiclse Also i love that the main music for this IS the music from the Opera Epicles, the only song besides Dream Aria that doesn't change. This is amazing. Im glad Hoyo loved that music as much as i did. Nothing beats that theme in the opera, i forgot the name but its "le" sonething something. Also, love that ending scene. It was absolutely amazing. I can't wait to play these stories!! The cutscenes get better and better, and i love that the NPCs of Fobtaine are being treated well. Can't wait for Albedo's return though, and Dainsleif helping us to find our sibling in fontaine 🐋

Furinas ending was. I mean. Jesus christ. Living the same day over and over again for 500 years, never ever getting to be your true self, always putting on a show, always busy, always in danger, always under pressure to save the entire nation. She had a normal human mind that was forced into a cycle of torture for 500 years. She doesnt even express at the end when her minds just finally let itself break. She lived such a tragic horrifying life and it'll be such a shame if hoyoverse brushes all she experienced off and just defaults her back to her facade personality. Her entire arc may be the darkest thing theyve shown in the game.

Tldr: The remainder of Furina's life is probably going to be spent re/adjusting to not being in constant danger or under constant stress. I don't think her sacrifice is totally brushed aside by her personality snapping back, she had to put up an act for 500 years with a human mind, that doesn't just go away because she's safe and free now. Adjusting to peaceful living is often times a long endeavor under less super natural circumstances, so Furina may never fully slip out of her character within her lifetime, in other words, she may still be stuck in survival mode for a while.

Fontaine story is more akin to Honkai Salt Snow Holy City arc, especially the concept of waters and duality. Focolor's sacrifice and giving Furina a chance to live is akin to the separation of light Seele and dark Seele. The plan of saving Fontaine from the prophecy is akin to freeing the twin bubble worlds from Sa's rules, though there are several loopholes and untold plans to achieve both scenarios. The Hydro authority is akin to the Herrscher authority of Death/Rebirth, as it involves creation and destruction.

In the end, it feels like no one received true justice, Focalors paid her life for a sin she did not commit, Nevuillette will forever be stuck as the chief of justice, getting the same ending like zhongli did. And Furina, where is her justice, stuck being alive for 500 years pretending to be some one she’s not.

Justice is not what you receive but it is what you fight for, Forcalors herself said it, she done it all in her belief of true justice, as well as for the previous archon The “true justice” is that when Neuvi give the final judgement for all people of Fontain, and now all can live as true human beings, not just oceanids in form of humans

Even i passed the plot of Fontaine many months ago, even i watching this cutscenes sometimes... I'm still crying when Focalors is dying... That's incredible emotional roller-coaster in my life.
