Pennsylvanian here. I bought the book and flowers for my wife for Valentine's Day. She discussed it with some of her friends. One of them is a librarian. Word of mouth advertising. I pitched it to my wife as "think Princess Bride.". I just read it myself and thoroughly enjoyed it. I will say it is more romance compared to the storybook that is Princess Bride. Spoilers- It took me a bit to work out the parallel characters and the group dynamics. I was pleasantly surprised with that group because it very much paralleled a group I made for a DnD campaign.

Central Pennsylvania has a large community of religious (and religious-adjacent) readers who enjoy flirtatious romantic fiction that doesn't get too spicy. As that's not a high-priority genre for most publishers, the readers heavily rely on each other for recommendations. If one enjoys it, a hundred will give it a try. Your sense of humor probably plays well in that market. Also, they love a good sword fight.

The Woodlands, Texas, US, little indy shop called Buy the book. Just north of Houston. Glad to see the book spreading. Ever thought of asking fans to take photos with the books in local shops? From my bookseller youth days, if a book gets enough orders and visibility, it starts showing up on lists of trending books that chain stores get, and book buyers for those stores take notice. Also, if you ever were to, say, sign copies at a store, that can increase the chances the book will be replenished when it sells. Just a thought. I got your book through website called Libristo. I suspect it was printed especially for me, because I waited about a month for it. But now I see that on the Matfel website it is available with shipping in a week (96 copies left in stock), so the store must have purchased at least that many copies. Greetings from Poland!

I can’t leave a review on Amazon for whatever reason, but I just read this book and it’s kind of like a cross between The Princess Bride and a choose your own adventure book. I loved the framing of the two stories (Caroline and Henry, Rosalind and Leo) around each other, which The Princess Bride does very well and so do you.

There's been so much going on in my that despite getting the book day physical was availible for purchase, I only just read it yesterday. (Start to finish, mostly one sitting) and it was sooooooo good! I loved the moments I recgonized from the shorts, and I loved the inclusion of Caroline talking to Leo and Robin, and when Leo summoned her, and the further parralels between Rosamund's and Caroline's lives. Really, just, all of it. Brilliant storytelling. I loved it so mich. ☺ Not from Pennsylvania, btw. Idahoian here.

I saw a stack of them in Hugendubel (a very large bookstore chain) in Germany a few months ago. Most of them must have sold as now they are not on display any more, but I spotted two copies on the shelf a month ago.

I really enjoyed reading it on long train or bus rides, it somehow really fit the vibe. And it was very enjoyable! It can totally hold up to books by full-time authors and books that are not an authors first ever book, like I was very positively surprised by how high quality the writing, the story and the characters were. And it was really amusing and refreshing with the two parallel plots. You really did great with that one

Also, I'm one of those still holding out for the audiobook release, but I have to say that one of my most precious memories is meeting and talking to Terry Pratchett when he did a book signing at SF-Bokhandeln here in Stockholm. So if you do get an opportunity to come here, I will buy a signed copy and proudly place it next to "Men at Arms" and "Soul Music" on my bookshelf. They'll make great friends.

I'm from Pennsylvania (and I love the way you pronounced it). I ordered the book as a pre-order, I thought, but I just realized it never came. I've been busy with finishing a school semester, and now I want to go and find this book. It should be easy to find since Pennsylvanians have ordered more copies than any other state in the union. :D

Washington reader here. I want to say, having gone to the info desk at my local independent bookstore, and pre ordered a copy of “Just Stab Me Now”, with a straight face, was a non trivial challenge. Worth it, of course, delightful book. I have not yet seen any ‘wild’ copies, as yet. But I will browse the shelves and report back when opportunity allows. Hope you are having a lovely day.

A reader from Minnesota here (your book made it to the American Midwest)! Looking at my local library and all 5 copies have been checked out! I got my copy at the local Target. Well done! 😊

There is one electronic copy in the Libby's electronic book catalogue used jointly by all the Saskatchewan library systems. With holds on it so about a two-month wait. The main bookstore chain here in Saskatoon Saskatchewan is Coles/Indigo/Chapters with three locations in the city. No copies in stock. But available to order, including online. The other big new bookstore is independent seller McNally Robinson, which has three physical locations, one in Saskatoon SK and two in Winnipeg Manitoba (capital city of neighbouring province), plus a website. According to the website, your book is "in stock" in the main Winnipeg location.

Saw your book at Chaco Canyon Historic Park in New Mexico, being read by the attendant in the gift shop. So talked about your channel with said attentent, a nice Navajo woman who with the 'in' could ask more questions about NA culture than I would otherwise. Chaco btw, is remote as hell, as in 20 miles down a dirt road. It is known for pre historic cannibalism and shapeshifting coyotes.

The e-book is on Libby! So, many counties in Minnesota have access electronically. (talking about libraries) Hennepin County has 2 physical copies and 5 digital, each with a ton of holds on them. That's the county that covers most of the Twin Cities area.

Philly resident here. Cued into your videos through the Tom ?Hall? faux window fight, and then went back and liked some other content, about 1/3 of the way through the shorts. Really liked them. Went back and started from beginning. Took me a few months after publishing but eventually bought a kindle copy of Just Stab Me Now. Next series of videos should be on American Accents and western movie brawls...

Pennsylvanian here, from Pittsburgh. Pennsylvania has one of the stronger and better funded groups of public libraries, with a lot of cooperation between libraries in the same county. It’s likely there has been a lot of institutional purchases. Doing a quick check of the Carnegie Library / Allegheny County system, there are five copies of your book circulating around, held in different libraries. One of them is actually at the library I usually go to, plus one in the main Carnegie Library and a few of the other libraries in the area. There’s a robust system of holds and inter-library lending, meaning anyone wanting to get your book just has to put in a request and it can be at their library of choice in a day or two assuming there are no other holds ahead of them. I think the Philly system will be similar, etc. It’s probably not just bookshops but all of those library systems, since they might buy 1-10 copies to cover the county.

I’ve seen a few in assorted local book stores, in Perth, Western Australia. And hopefully requesting it at my local library next time I’m there, they normally approve of book requests to add to the state collection!

I haven't physically checked them, because they are currently closed, but according to the website, three of the Indigo Books in Ottawa, Canada have two copies each in stock.

I didn’t see it in a bookshop, but at my local public library (in Pennsylvania’s northern neighbor of New York). The branch where I work had a print copy on the staff picks shelf (😁) for about *3 hours*. I checked this morning & there’s a wait of 6 weeks for 32 print copies (each branch in our system ordered one) & 4 weeks for the ebook version. (I’ll be honest - I, too, referenced “The Princess Bride” when I asked to buy the book for our branch. It also reminds me a little of Jasper Fforde’s Thursday Next series.) ❤

I live in the US state of Georgia and I've seen it in Barnes & Noble. It's also available as a physical book through Target. Target is having a sale now where you can buy a book and get another book for 1/2 price. Just Stab Me Now is part of the sale!

Another Pennsylvania fan here! I did get a digital copy though. At least from my area I know so many people that are writers and are trying to be published authors that the meta combined with the fantasy world just seems like something all of them would enjoy.
