The German version of a book being much longer than the English version actually makes a lot of sense. German words and general sentence structure is a lot longer than English and to translate it you would need a lot more room 😂

Don't feel embarrassed for mourning a celebrity! Art can make a huge impact on our lives and actors and musicians are definitely artists. I grew up with Shannon on 90210 and Charmed. Always thought she was great at embodying any character she portrayed. I personally was so heartbroken when Prince died, I was sent home early and cried for days

I remember when Cory Monteith died, I was in the peek of my Glee fangirl period and I was so heartbroken! I cried like a baby when I watched the episode they made in his memory, also killing off Finn (his character). It's just what those people represent for you during a period of time and how being a fan of their work will never be the same 😢💔 Can also happen when the celebrity is still alive but did something horrible and you have to mourn that attachment to them/their work

sooo interesting that Laika announced they were working on Piranesi. btw, they are currently working on an adaptation of Wildwood by Colin Meloy, if you didn't know. I'm not sure how they're adapting it, though, with it being the first in a trilogy. like idk if they'll just adapt the first book and make it a standalone, leave it open ended for a sequel, or combine the trilogy into one film. 8:27 adorable 🥺 yes, RIP Shannen Doherty

I love watching your cats. They adore you. I'm down from 3 cats a year and a half ago to 1 right now. She's wonderful but not a cuddler, like the other 2 were, so I'm planning to start fostering in November in hopes of finding 1 or 2 more cats she gets along with and who like to cuddle. It'll be a new adventure. I was also sad to hear that Shannen Doherty had died. She was a fantastic actress and should have gotten more accolades than she did. I still remember the presence she gave her characters in Heathers and the original Beverly Hills, 90210, which came out when I was in high school. In fact, I stopped watching 90210 when she was booted off the show. It just wasn't the same without her. She got such a bad rap in the media until recently and it was undeserved. I mean, she did some shitty things (DUI) and probably could have been more diplomatic in some situations but most of the negativity was backlash because she stood up for herself and refused to conform to the modest, compliant, nice girl image women were/are pushed into. She was herself and grew and changed over time, and I admired her for that.

Im a huge Stephen King fan, so I am excited for that. I know you said you were gonna read everything in publication order, but I do want to make a small suggestion. When you start the Dark Tower series, just read it. His books have an entire universe that is essentially tied around the Dark Tower series. Some of the books have direct ties to it. Many of them have references or connections to it. I think one of the things I love about reading his books is being able to read them and find connections to it and how everything intertwined. So reading the series helps to get a better grasp on some stuff and to be able to find ways that they all fit together.
