Fun fact: Not sure if the kiosks at your library are the same as the ones here in the South West of England (they look very similar), but you can actually scan multiple books at once. :) My librarian saw me scanning them one by one and told me to just put the whole stack under the scanner. I'm still a little in awe that it worked haha.

As someone who can't afford books often, I love using my library because it gets the new releases pretty quickly so I am able to read books that a lot of booktubers talk about. I wish I could afford to buy books more often but having had a liver and kidney transplant and 5 back and 4 head surgeries, the medical aspect of my life makes it extremely difficult. But I loved the video overall! Also ur cats are adorable. I love cats! I have a black tuxedo cat myself named Curious. (She was born outside and was the first to get out of the carrier we kept the mom and babies in to explore.) She just turned 11 I'm pretty sure but she is a sweetheart for sure

So so glad you're using your local library! I rediscovered my childhood obsession with the library a few years ago and have not looked back since. Going to the library to wander after work is legitimate self-care. Loving this series - though I didn't realise people hated The Maidens! I enjoyed it! Nothing knock-your-socks off, but a cosy dark academia.

I've been using my library on my Kindle fire a lot for audios and ebooks. I do enjoy going there sometimes though. The boys looked so cute taking a nap together, it was so adorable to see.

I totally understand the feeling of ruining the memories you have from being a kid. I had a really rough experience with the person who worked at mine and now I can’t go in there without being extremely uncomfortable. 😭 Thankfully, I have an online library that works just as well! Also, your kitties are so BIG! Definitely miss having lil’ babies at that stage. ♥️

Oh gosh, the whole owing a huge fine thing happened to me when I went back to my library for the first time since I was a kid! They waived the fees though since they were over a decade old and I’d been a child. Too nice of them.

Here there is a Central Library and 6 branches, so I normally visit my local branch because it's a block from my house, but I am obsessed with how your library is so well sectioned having different areas for horror, crime, etc.

I also had a mild cold coming back after all the temperature changes and Monday coming back we spent 24h awake trying to get a flight back home and that definitely killed me. Hope you are already feeling better. For me it was only 2-3 bad days. Cats are the best company when we are sick I only read The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware and I was also underwehlmed with that one. Basic is really the word I would use to describe her too

Oooh the library 😍 I went to the library for the first time as an adult two years ago, so I recognise that feeling. My town used to have an amazing used book shop, but sadly they closed down several years ago. I never expected much of the library, since I don't like to read translated from English (hell, at the time I didn't like reading in Dutch at all), but I was pleasantly surprised, and I think I would only have to read like 5 library books a year for it to be worth the money. But not so long ago they moved and now all of a sudden the collection really seems to be improving so that's great.
