Chris Hill If your opponent makes a 4-5 monster board (which combo decks do) and you activate Mystic Mine, you are not affected by Mystic Mine and can out your opponent’s board while setting up your own pretty freely.

Yata's one of those cards where if it was off the list, exactly one of two things would happen: absolutely nothing, or a new and more degenerate yata-lock. The card is *not good in modern yugioh*, to be clear, it's just also bad design so it *could* break something or be broken by something at any point.

Yata would literally do almost nothing in our current game's state, even the old yata lock doesn't work anymore due to errata's to the main components of it. Above all this, Yata conceptually isn't even that big of a threat on the level that most decks work out of the grave with effect's now, hand traps exist and are staple main deck card's, and if you hit the point where you've somehow looped your opponents hand, you're probably left with a board that you wouldn't wish to have opened with or drawn a monster that cannot be special summoned and that requires a normal summon to actually use. If by some miracle you reach a point where you win with/lose against Yata, you probably would have won/lost not only faster without it having taken a slot in your deck more deserving of a better modern card that is going to be more cohesive with your current deck.

As much as I wish that Broadbull could come back, I know it won't and it shouldn't. However, I don't think that it's strength lies necessarily in the fact that it's a generic r4nk searcher, because by that logic Gallant Granite and King of the Feral Imps should be banned too. No, I think the problem is that it can search and convert itself into an interruption by simply overlaying Drident, and can be made with a single material if you can spare your normal for a zoo (or if you sac barrage), and it's about to get another powerful search target with Fractuar. So yeah, either give the boy an errata or keep him in jail.

Honestly mystic mine is a fair card. Several decks have a 1 card combo that leads to an oppressive game state and honestly if you don’t draw the mine in a mine deck, you’re auto-loosing. Mystic Mine: The point Farfa makes is fair: You are just assuming that one draws the out. But it's the same with the theory behind side cards, behind hand traps and going second tools. If you know your deck cannot deal well with mystic mine, you will have weigh up and set priorities... Want to play 9 backrow removal or rather put in more extenders. Secondly, mystic mine is not a win con. Just from setting it up, you are not applying any pressure. If approaching it that way, Super Poly is unhealthier because it al least pit a monster to attack with onto the field. And lastly, 8 negates + dweller boards do not seem to be bothering farfa as much as mystic mine. The only difference in terms of interactivity is that you might get to ask several times if you are allowed to play and get denied each time rather than just knowing you don't get to play. So just ban Apollousa... fivehead.

Ah yes Let me just side deck 3 different spell/trap removals so I play around this one very fair card :) Also what the fuck are you on about mine not being a win con You don't need a 3k beatstick to have a wincon. 9 negate boards + dweller you can navigate trough You can bait negates, use cards wisely etc etc Mine is just: "Pass Take 300 Pass Take 300" Until you either draw your mst card and have it negated Or get burned to death after playing 0 cards

@@luna2817 or they also set prohibition, field barrier & throw judgment and negates to all your removals. A friend of mine that is a average yugioh player got 1st place at locals after making a solid mine deck with all the expensive cards also dont get me started with that retarded goddes card that lets u arrange which card they will draw every turn.

It is not the whelp causing the main problem. It is union carrier. It gives every deck access to card(s) that should not be in any other deck. Similar to banning o-lion for needlefiber, banning whelp will only bring some other variant to the combo until carrier gets hit.

i remember when on dueling network, i would always get into arguments people saying you can only use ultimate offering once per turn. I'm glad it's banned not because the effect is broken, but i don't have to argue anymore lol.
