Hey! New subscriber here. I’ve been following you on Tik Tok for a little over six months and i have to say i’ve never seen a tolkien fan with the passion that you have. I’ve always known about lotr of course but i’ve never taken the time to really read the books and watch the movies all that closely. It seemed to daunting of a challenge. All of these beautiful languages and thousands of years of history honestly scared me, but you are making all of it so easy to get into. Thank you so much for sharing ❤️

Yesterday evening i was stressed and sad and before sleep i decided i should start listening to this series which i wanted to do for weeks now. And after 15 minutes i was so calm, relaxed, peaceful. I stopped listening to this chapter in my audiobook because it was too difficult to understand what is going on since English is not my first language and audio was not good. Now thanks to you i can i can understand and enjoy this book. Thank you so much for the work you do!

And can I say thank you so much for this, this is amazing, as some one with really bad dislexya I hvve tried and tried myself to read the silmarillion and not been able to do it. This is so great just finished my first reread as an adult of the hobbit, lotr, and the children of Hurin. Thank you for doing this the Silmarillion has always been hard for me but this is like listening to the annotated audiobook.

This was absolutely fantastic! As you grow you following. I am someone who can’t follow lives. Or sign in at a particular moment in time. I just loved this. I can’t read Tolkien. I get lost even reading “The Lord of the rings” but I love the universe and your content. I would love this as an audio file. With out the pauses for comments and questions. I don’t know how you could make money doing this but it would be fantastic! For me I just took my daughter for a walk and had to keep my phone open the entire time so KZbin you play.

So I would try to tune in to these when you first started on twitch but by the time I could you were a few chapters in and I didn’t want to join when you already so far in. I can’t believe it took me this long to realize you had these posted!!! Now I’m going to listen to these during my work commutes!! This was an amazing listen. I haven’t finished the lotr books but I know more lore than the average person should, like i knew everything that had happened in this chapter. I know I still need to finish lotr but I can’t quite get myself to sit down and do it 😞 I will one day!!! But the way I squealed and just screamed over certain things. Like the embodiment of Darkness?? Idk why that got me so hyped. I’m so excited to be listening to this. Thank you for this!!!

I think I'm missing the point of significance of power/knowledge with the union/marriage of Valar and transition from Ainur to Valar. For example it says Aule is scarcely less than melkor (as Ainur) but as Valar Manwe is King (Tolkien does go into the detail about how Manwe and Varda empower each other tho)

I’m guessing this may have been asked already somewhere but searching TikTok is impossible. Is there going to be a LotR read along/explanation/chat? You say to read the Hobbit and LotR first. I’ve seen the trilogy a thousand times and was able to read through the Hobbit, but the few times I’ve tried LotR I just… struggle. 😅 I would really love it if you did. 💖
