Shadowhunter series is so intimidating because of all of the books in it!! Plus they are all pretty big too. I do like the cover of Chain of Thorns though. This is how i disappear also has a pretty cover.

This was honestly my perfect day. I thought the whole Boba/Park/Lunch montage was most of the day. Nearly dropped my phone at the "less than 3 hours" reveal 🤣 My suggestion for the next one, though maybe outside your usual genres, is Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers. Beautiful novella, quick read, but also one that really makes you think about a lot of things. Hopefully next one is nothing but 5-star reads!

Loved the video! I always enjoy these 24 hour reading marathons, it does not diminish the enjoyment if, in the end, you end up being successful or not, honestly, so please don't pressure yourself too much. I gave Chain of Thorns 3 stars because of the reused plot lines, miscommunication, and the lack of grief. The majority of the series was wasted on a romantic plot line that we all knew would not be end game. She said she changed the ending because it was too sad…ma’am I wouldn’t have cared less (and neither would the characters evidently) if everyone died 💀

As far as a trilogy recommendation...I'd say Broken Earth, Regenades or City of Brass unless you have read all those already. For something a little lighter but equally as important try The manga for Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. The box set would make for a great 24 hr read-a-thon and is food for your heart!

A book I would recommend would be Falling From Grace by Jane Godwin. I remember reading it when I was younger. The beginning is slow but the more I read the more I enjoyed it.

You might give Dark Currents: Agent of Hel trilogy a try. It uses a lot of different folklore I feel like you dont normally see in American literature. The books are also on the shorter side so it wouldn't be too hard to read all 3 in 24hrs

May I recommend you the Hell's Library trilogy by AJ Hackwith? It's about a realm within Hell filled with writers' forgotten stories. (Best way to discribe it without revealing too much) The characters are wonderful and the books are roughly 380 pages long, perfect for a 24 readathon 😊
