Fun thing to note about the Red E.M.M.I. - it 'probably' was saved as the last one because of the color's significance in Japan. Red is a color very iconic in Japan, one of its many uses is to scare off evil spirits, in a way the E.M.M.I. was sent to eradicate the X-Parasite. At the same time its also a color used to represent justice and the hero in Kabuki theater, in a way making the robot a 'champion' against the parasites, but its also worth mentioning that blue is used to represent evil, which is Samus' Power Suit, so it can be a little play on visuals with the E.M.M.I. being reprogramed and so the 'hero' has a new evil to defeat. A warped reality metaphor. This could be part of the reason why the red one was saved for last, in a way symbolizing its the strongest one (due to its power up) (Which coincidentally is also some of the reasons the red ranger is the leader in Super Sentai (Power Rangers)) Just food for thought (I know Mercurysteam is a Spanish team, but still developing a Japanese game with Sakamoto)

The problem comes when you realize that it's actually pretty hard to tell if the EMMI is really red or if it's Orange.

I also have a sort of right prediction: I predicted that the Chozo general would be called Bloody Beak. Not perfect, but you can imagine my face when the name was revealed.

One thing I wondered is right before the experiment boss, the planet freezes, the X were not affected by the cold like they were in Fusion. Would have been cool to see that come back. Although she already had the gravity suit by this point, which is probably why that didn't happen.

Raven beak isnt her actual father, him saying that is simply a character device to show how conceited he is because he thinks that just because he gave a little bit of his DNA that he made her into what she is today, its a power complex

Lol when the game came out I was so focused on it I completely forgot everything I predicted right. I can't believe Higgz called Adam being a double agent though.

I guessed that Raven Beak caused Samus to lose her powers at the start of the game. I was pleasantly surprised to be right, in a way!

Would be cool if they added an update or something that would add Metroid Fusion playable within Dread for beating the game. Like they did on Zero Mission with the original being included for beating it.

Will we get a Metroid 6. It was made pretty clear that Metroid Dread is the end of the original 2d Metroid story arc but there will still be more games. Not to mention that Sakamoto himself said if he could he would keep the series going on forever.

2:57 actually we did get a tease for the next game as the space ships in hanubia left the planet and there's that chozo memory in hanubia of a shadowy figure ontop of a building

Also, when you critically think about the ending of Fusion, it’s obvious that it’s a small sect of the GF that wanted to basically endanger the galaxy with bioweapons. I’m sure the Federation isn’t totally against bioweapons, but they would certainly be against what they were doing in Fusion. It was a rogue faction that wanted to arrest or possibly kill Samus. She’s too much of an asset to the Federation as a whole - they wouldn’t make her an enemy. The Federation would get absolutely demolished by her.

4:42 personally I think the exelion corporation is luminoth run and the EMMIs are the same tech as the robots in the sanctuary fortress 7:54 well, there kind of were mutated x parasites. We saw that one x infecting that one smaller creature randomly turn itself into a core x and spit out golzuna without combining with any other x. That's definitely impressive

I'd like to see a game where from Samus's point of view the G.F. went insane but it turns out the Metroid DNA in her made her into a psychopath

Not to be rude but: the first part where samus think the G.F went insane is almost comfirmed but the metroid DNA making her insane is like giving a gun to shadow the hedgehog (edgy and kinda stupid, the bad kind of stupid)

@@lehashura490 Yeah, the conspiracy in Other M and Fusion. I guess it went defunct or fell apart by the time of Dread.

@@chrispork1443 I think more think they most likely kept it for a metroid 6, one of the many problems of other m was the plot being overambitious (going in multiple directions and amounting to nothing, dread was suppose to end the metroid arc, therefore they probably didn't wanted to force it into the game when they could use it in a sequel. Plus the japanese version (therefore true canon) of this sub-plot is that it's only a part of the federation not all therefore we can just assume that after fusion this part of the G.F is waiting for there next move and let the "good part" in control for now
