The first date I ever went on in my life was with a guy who, at the end of the date, told me that his last relationship ended due to the fact that his parents didn’t approve of his ex. The reason was (get this!) she eats chocolate and wears pants (they thought she was too immodest for not just wearing skirts all the time, and thought she was sinning by eating chocolate). So he dumped her to appease his parents! He said they later got back together, but then she ended things with him because, “She didn’t think it was a good idea.” He also admitted that although he disagrees with his parents, he still would currently try to appease them. I knew after hearing that, I would never even give him a 2nd date.🏃‍♀️
