i don’t understand why the boys get all the freedom with their girlfriends (obviously blake and andrew are adults and can do their own thing) but chase has SOO much freedom with asha. i understand karlis a girl but i feel like if you want to protect her you should also have stricter rules for chase and asha. i’m not saying asha would do this but guys can be assaulted too.

It's the typical implicit patriarchial-misogynistic mindset a lot of conservative families have. Sometimes I think that they don't even realize they are living in contradiction. It's one of those "traditional values" that is so hard to dismantle.

Honestly I really appreciate the talk on Karli dating a guy. I find it very sweet when parents (especially a dad) want to protect their daughter. It shows that they really care and want to keep them safe. When parents don’t care who their daughter goes with, it shows they don’t care what happens to them. I went on a date with a boy and my dad was super protective. I didn’t take as a bad thing at all, but something really special that made me feel good.

Y’all, there isn’t anything wrong with being conservative or liberal. Whichever they are let them live. Also, it doesn’t make them hypocrites to say Karli can’t physically go out with a guy until they know him, while Chase and Asha are dating and going out etc. What you aren’t taking into consideration is that Asha’s parents aren’t Ken and Candi. They have their own guidelines and they’ve clearly built a trust with their family. There is no misogyny in wanting to protect your child. There are facts to prove women are targeted more than men. Just because you want women’s rights doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take into consideration the safety of someone as well.

I thought i was done having kids, my only son was 23 years old and I've been told since he was 5 or so that I would never conceive on my own... i got married December 2015 & had a cervical polyp removed December 2017, December 2018 I conceived my youngest son who is 6 months old on Saturday. You never know what God has planned.... I didn't plan on becoming a mom at 43, however, I found out many women, including my great grandmother, have children at my exact age or older.

@feat.shanika5 жыл бұрын
What if you fostered older children
@ChrissaTodd5 жыл бұрын
i will also say cause i get your point with karli the show 8 simple rules shows overprotective dad to daughters but the mom wasn't the mom cared more if her son was going on a group date where the dad was giddy about it, then when the dad died because john ritter died they showed the girls getting away with alot more because the mother wasn't as strict about that stuff as she was like them as a teen and understand their want for freedom. But i realized if john ritter never died and they were to able to continue the show with him, there is alot of plots that would have went over better, like one of the daughters not cheating on her bf and losing her virginity in europe because the dad would never have said yes or caved to saying yes. And so now i respect it, i can see the point that rebellion can still happen when you hold them back and give freedom to the other children but i do respect your decision.
@Melted-Kuchi-kopi5 жыл бұрын
That's not entirely true I think she still would've went to Europe and lost her virginity because at the end of the day the more strict you are (depending on the kid) the more the kid will rebel
@ChrissaTodd5 жыл бұрын
@@Melted-Kuchi-kopi no cause if you remember anytime her or bridgette tried to do something Paul was able to stop it and also the mom never caved when Paul said no she let him be the bad guy, as you can tell Kerry only actually went when Cate caved and said yes. But when paul was alive she never caved because she never wanted to upset paul she may have not agreed with everything he said no too but he always found a way to stop stuff like that, he stopped her from going to her friends house on Halloween cause she called him Paul. And it worked.
@ChrissaTodd5 жыл бұрын
@@Melted-Kuchi-kopi i would agree if it was bridgette who had the Europe plot maybe she would have rebelled but paul would have known about Europe so fast because rory would still rat her out.
@Melted-Kuchi-kopi5 жыл бұрын
@@ChrissaTodd yes but then the mom would always talk Paul down and get him to be a little less strict. I do think she still probably would've went on said trip with Paul still there because it's an educ7trip. The only diff6woukd be that maybe paul would've went and been a chaperone. I think they wouldn't have found a way to loose their virginity they would've found a way even if Paul hadn't of died.
@ChrissaTodd5 жыл бұрын
Danny mmm there was also an episode where paul tried to be the cool dad and it back fired they always made paul saying no make sense as the psycho dad or the master of the double standard. Also I don’t even think Kerry would have been with Kyle if Paul was alive I think when they realized John Ritter wasn’t doing well they made 2 out comes to plots just in case. But I do not think she would have had a chance to cheat on Kyle is my point. Yes she talked him down to little things this is letting his daughter go to a different country, and he’s already known as psycho dad. Also when they tried to get away with stuff Paul always found out and dealt with it probably cause the show was a lesson that as crazy as Paul was he was right. Anytime he or cate let’s their guard down is when bad things happen like when he tried to be the cool dad and he fell asleep so they got away with having a party. They would just begrudgingly say they hated him but also begrudgingly listen to him more often.

This is more of an answering questions video than an "assumptions" video. "Assumptions" videos always include assuming the meaning/purpose of any given assumption. Here's an example... I've observed Blake as extremely quiet, almost seems shy. It's very hard to hear him on video. Either, or both, of you, could, possibly would, claim, or even insist, that my observation is somehow wrong - despite the fact that it's not. Thus, you 'assume' what you claim as being my "assumption" of Blake, but it's not an "assumption" at all. My use of the word "observed" is because he's so quiet, at least on video, that I've rarely heard what he said. I've found, quite easily, that family vloggers and vlogging hasn't changed at all. Of the ones I'm subscribed to and watch, you're the only one that has went from daily to a couple/few a week. Personally, it doesn't make sense. KZbin needs to be "controlled." It's called the law. However, KZbin started violating the law, including constitutional law. Then COPPA and FBI 'made an appearance' and also violated the law. They're all violating the law, thinking they're doing nothing wrong and everything is so much better. Daughters and dating: There's also a factor of trust. If a daughter can be trusted, or is trusted, then let her go! If a daughter can't be, or isn't, trusted - then don't let her go! Maybe let her have him over instead of her going to be with him. Family vloggers are still doing challenges . Some not as often, if at all. I'm subscribed to a family vlogger that has had two channels for a little while now. What used to be their actual family channel is not a family channel where they usually do challenges, but occasionally might be a video that isn't really a challenge but more of a game. So it's actually a challenge and game channel. Wrestling, weight requirement: This also goes for anything else that is strict with weight. I'd be checking BMI, at least weekly - maybe two or three times a week. I simply do not trust that the restriction with sports and weight is healthy.
