i worked at an adult shop and people bringing children to the door occurs weekly. When we would tell them minors weren't allowed, 99% of them would give us an attitude like "oh come on im jsut gonna be quick, but he's only 3, etc" and treat us like we're the bad people for following the law. literally had to yell back at some people who kept trying to get in that I will lose my fucking job by allowing a child to look at walls covered in graphic sexual images. even more worrying , they would be standing outside our door right in front on the sign that says 18+ ADULTS ONLY NO MINORS, not even seeing it until I pointed it out. I don't know how you can be in charge of a child's life and not even pay attention to clear signs that this is not a safe place for children

I too was inspired and went looking around my village's sex shop reviews. The best worst one follows..... "The staff was very creepy and rude. He openly talked about toys being used on my “panties” (I am a trans man, and my partner and I were looking at packers) and then opened what I was buying to “test it” without any gloves which made me extremely uncomfortable, especially since he was very not clean and his hands were covered in dirt. I plan on using anti-bacterial cleaner three times on this toy I’m so grossed out. He was also very invasive and creepy and overall I would never recommend this place due to staff." You should look at the ones in NYC next. I grew up next to a an "adult" shop that I am CONVINCED is a front for some mafia business or something. It never closed even as rent rose in the neighborhood, while basically every store got replaced 2 or more times (and we're talking west village, right next to chelsea.)
