I think the most important lesson I was given as someone who is more spiritually attuned is actually the series Stranger Things. So imagine you are a creator as you do in your mind and you start to envision or imagine, let's say a game of Dungeons and Dragons where you must invent wicked things to defeat. The issue is when you do these things, you start inviting them in, which is the premise of the entire series - exploring things of the darkness instead of the light. That is what Cyber is, technology. A Baptism is immersion in the light of the Holy Spirit where you are born again of the light, but these screens we use, they are a Dark Baptism that give us a false sense of light which inevitably fades the deeper we go and all of our fears start to manifest into dangerous, ravenous things. That is why the light is so essential because our imagination is quite powerful and also quite deadly. Think about "space exploration" in general: travel through a dark void to a dead planet called Mars where nothing lives, nothing grows, and reproduce - it's absolutely dangerous and terrifying but everyone in the modern day is onboard. Hence, we're in trouble having invited stranger things into our daily lives using our foolish imagination of exploration.

This series has myself now reading the New Testament for the first time ever, and these stories sound very intriguing! Very much enjoying your channel and insight!

Ezekiel is one of my favourite books of The Bible! It shows how no one is too gone. That God can make our hearts of stone to hearts of flesh. It shows His power and sovereignty. I love it so.

The thing is God can't make people believe in him because that would go against the free will he's given us. So to honor his word for giving us free will he has to do other things to show us he's real. That God is real. And because it's the old testament Jesus wasn't born yet to sacrifice himself to take away our sins. So, to be forgiven of your sins was way different than it is now, after Jesus sacrificed himself for our sins. I don't know if this makes sense but I'm trying my best to explain it. Because Jesus died on the cross we're able to be forgiven from sin through the blood of Jesus Christ. That didn't happen yet in the old testament. So you were punished for your sins. And your punishment will be as bad as your sin was. And they used to make sacrifices to God as a sign of worship. Things were completely different in the old testament than the new testament. It's why I'm currently reading through the whole Bible in order to get a deeper understanding than just learning through pieces of scriptures like I did when I was a kid.

2TIMOTHY3:16 So don't get mad Stop it if you knew about the Bible. you would know Christ is in the Old Testament. Utter nonsense Isaiah28:9-10 Precept Genesis1:3-4 LIGHT PRECEPT JOHN 1:5 JOHN 1:7-10 And I just showed you you knew not It also Also where it says Darkness in genesis And John. The darkness comprehended, not that's your first introduction to satan. 2ESDRAS 7:28-29 Specifically in the old testament naming his son So just in case you have a problem with the apocrypher. I'm gonna show you proof that the Apocrypher Is part of the Bible. I'm gonna show you Christ himself quoting from the apocrypher. MATTHEW 23:37-38 2ESDRAS1:30&33 In Matthew, Christ 😢Is quoting the apocrypher. How wonderful it is to see the gospel in its purest form

When you read Revelation* (not revelations; i do not know why we all make that mistake) keep in mind that it is Apocalyptic literature, the name of Revelation is greek is "Apocalypse" it a symbolic imagery of things.
@dave438-jw321 күн бұрын
Ezekiel, like Revelation, can be difficult because it is full of symbolic images rather than simple descriptions--it is an apocalypse rather than a prophesy, so if you don't know the "codes" for what the images mean, it will be difficult if not impossible to understand. When the Orthodox Church compiled the New Testament at the Synod of Carthage in AD 397, the Apocalypse of St John the Evangelist was almost omitted because of the difficulty of understanding and interpreting it; and although the Divine Liturgy often borrows from it, it is never read as scripture--only the Apostle (the letters) and the Gospel.

Understanding the harsh punishment begins with understanding first that Israel as a people had a high calling of God on their lives as a nation, as a people, and then understanding second how far they'd fallen from following God's calling. It wasn't just their fall into corrupt behavior, but they worshiped other gods while also worshiping God. Worshiping the other gods included such practices as sexual immorality for prayer and worship and sacrificing babies to the fire to appeal to the god. Falling this far required a huge wake up call and a huge purging of heart. as well as a huge re-education. And sadly, no, there is no gentle way to accomplish this.

Ezekiel is a fascinating book, but just remember a couple of things 1) God calls them a rebellious house from the get-go. 2) He labors the point that they have no one to blame but themselves and that God is just in doing so. 3) as a priest, Ezekiel is very interested in the holiness of God. Not just the purity, but the otherness, the set-apartness of God. 4) good seeing the repetition of "then they will know that I am the LORD" but actually LORD in all caps hearkens back to the divine name, I AM That I AM back in Exodus, and so, them not hearing His word, the Lord would reveal Himself to them by His deeds, since they wouldn't follow His good and just ways, they would know His just and holy discipline.

The gospel in Ezekiel And I will take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your uncleanness and from all your idols. Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to do My judgments. And you will inhabit the land that I gave to your fathers; so you will be My people, and I will be your God. - Ezekiel 36:24-28 LSB

by far, the creepiest and most horrifying book in the Bible is Judges, particularly the final chapters. It’s not the imagery or apocalyptic wording, but actions of the Hebrews written down that will make your skin grow cold.
@Ben94729Ай бұрын
True, the imagery is trying to tell you that Israel has become worser than Sodom and Gonorrah, the similar story to that of Lot, but even worse. But to remind that God was not happy with those evil actions.

"In those days there was no king in Israel and everyone did what was right in their own eyes." That stuck with me as the saddest verse in an overview course, and a detailed study didn't change my mind. I did see a theory that the last, horrific chapters took place before the rest. This makes sense, given that 1 Samuel and Ruth follow / overlap with Samuel as a judge but no mention of the horror. Plausible, but partly based on an absence of evidence, which is an inherently weak argument.

The gospel in Ezekiel. Say to them, ‘As I live!’ declares Lord Yahweh, ‘I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn back, turn back from your evil ways! Why then will you die, O house of Israel?’ - Ezekiel 33:11 LSB
@americanswan28 күн бұрын
The Son of Man is referring to Daniel 7 and Jesus. For I, Yahweh, will speak, and whatever word I speak will be done. It will no longer be delayed, for in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and do it,” declares Lord Yahweh.’” Furthermore, the word of Yahweh came to me, saying, “Son of man, behold, the house of Israel is saying, ‘The vision that he beholds is for many years from now, and he prophesies of times far off.’ Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says Lord Yahweh, “None of My words will be delayed any longer. Whatever word I speak will be done,”’” declares Lord Yahweh. - Ezekiel 12:25-28 LSB And God’s word is with power. Let's believe by faith.

To understand why God punishes sin so harshly you have to understand that God is holy and cannot by his very nature allow sin into his presence. On the other side, man has a fallen sinful, selfish nature that is in rebellion against God. Israel had not only violated and rebelled against Jehovah they worshipped Baal which included human sacrifice and prostitution. Let me pass along another thought to keep in mind. God is immutable which means he never changes. He is always ready to show mercy and a great example would be the book of Jonah. Nineveh repented and God spared them. Then God had to deal with Jonah's attitude in the rest of the book. Jesus has a Moabite and a prostitute as ancestors, in both cases these women had chosen to serve Jehovah and reject their past. God has always been ready to forgive our sins. As far as the east is from the west, So far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Ps 103:12 (KJV).

Ezekiel doesn't hold back. The soul who sins will die. The son will not bear the iniquity of the father, nor will the father bear the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself. - Ezekiel 18:20 LSB I'm confused. I thought the soul lives forever in Heaven or Hell. Oops. Guess Jesus was right. The soul does die.
