Tips for eye-strain and tension headaches: Make sure you have good posture when working (on the couch might not be the best place because optimally your screen should be around eye-height in front of you). Keep your laptop/computer screen about an arm's length away from your face Check all your tech (including your smart TVs) for the option to implement blue light filters (reduces eye strain). Blue light does tend to hurt my eyes, especially when it's very bright (and white). Of course, reducing screen time helps too, but possibly less then you expect when you don't watch your posture enough. I've definitely noticed problems myself when my posture isn't good. You might not even notice until you change it up and try something else. Hope this helps anyone who wants some help with these type of tension/strain headaches.

I literally ordered From Blood and Ash after watching this video at the weekend and it’s just arrived!!! Can’t wait to read it. Love it when big books have a well written storyline that can pull you through the entire book so fast. I’m reading The Priory of the Orange Tree and am struggling to find a narrative so much at the start but apparently it picks up after the world has been built in the first 200 pages so here’s hoping! 🤞🏻

The second book is fantastic. It stays a little messy between Hawke and Poppy but then everything gets CRAZY and characters really begin to understand each other. Which feels real ( as real as this fantasy romance can be) It's amazing.

See I like romance because it’s always fun and a nice palette cleanse when I need a break from the expansive fantasy books I usually read, but I can do without the super sexy stuff entirely. I always feel like it detracts from the plot. I think I’m the only person who wants romance without sex scenes lol 😶😬😂

I love Matilda’s little nook. I wish my doggo was as mellow as that. He’s a 1 year old bull terrier and could not do apartment life I don’t think which is fine because we don’t live in a big city and don’t have apartment life but Millie is perfect for your guys set up and she’s such a sweet girl and I love her in the window.

Haha Reagan, "I actually got dressed today!" Me, that's what I said today too! Also, I get those screen induced headaches too. My dogs hide their treats until they are ready to eat them even biscuits, maybe that's what she is doing. I often find bones and chew toys hidden in a blanket or a corner of the room. I have to catch them before they bring them outside though as they will then bury them and bring them inside once they have "marinated" for a while in the dirt.

I had to read this on my kindle, and wow, I did not realize how big this book was. I flew through it and I thought it was perhaps half that size! I'm listening to the sequel on audio now because, again, I can't find the physical copy.

I started reading this when it came out on ebook and I enjoyed it, got about 1/5 of the way through it, and just forgot to keep picking it up. And, obviously, being so far into it made it harder for me to justify picking it up after days, weeks, months, etc. of not reading. But this vlog.... has seriously made me reconsider it! I think part of the reason it was hard to read on ebook is because I love being able to furiously flip through a fantasy and reading on my phone was convenient, but it wasn't Doing It for me, y'know? Long story short: I think I need to buy the paperback...

I loved From Blood and Ash! I definitely didn’t love the second one as much, it didn’t have as much mystery and plot as the first one and was more romance heavy, but the ending is definitely leading up to some interesting stuff that will be happening in the third!

Have you read the All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness (aka A Discovery of Witches)?? I’ve flown through it! Magic meets History meets Vampires- really in-depth world building. One of the most intelligent and feminist series I’ve read of this genre! I think you’d love it 💜

I read a little into it and then I started feeling like it was going to scare me so I stopped. I get scared easily. I don’t want to feel like I’m being chased or attacked by the mist monster things. I can read gruesome descriptions or whatever but I don’t want to feel stalked or scared. I don’t know if I should read it or not! I get nightmares from the littlest things 😳
