The clips with the mansion are incredible, it felt like I was watching a Tim Burton film rather than a vlog! Also, you should read the Skyward novelas, they are super cute and add to the story, especially the second and third one. Be warned though, they weren't written by Sanderson and they read a bit like YA (in my opinion the first one is especially YA trope-y).

I haven’t read interview with the vampire but I did watch the show that came out recently and I loved it (also the whole vampires turning into mist to enter through key holes happens in Dracula? Lucy writes about it and then Van Helsing talks about it a few times)

The plot of Two Twisted Crowns rreealllyy picks up and I found the duology ended in a very satisfying way. Much more action in the second book and I really loved it! I like it better than the first for sure.

i would highly recommend "the book of living secrets" a super fun read, about two best friends that get into their favorite book and discover that the world they love so much is not what they thought it is. spooky, queer and mysterious!

Vampathon was so much fun! I only managed to read 3.5 books. Of the books you read in this vlog, I've read Skyward, Interview with the Vampire, & Once Dark Window. I love Anne Rice and have a majority of her books. Her books are definitely not quick reads they should be savored like cheesecake. My husband and I watched Clue & had steak and potatoes for dinner.

There is 3 main books in the Skyward Series but the is a bind up of 3 novellas and there is a prequel as well.

The mug you used for the hot chocolate is gorgeous? Was that a subscription box mug or is it available elsewhere online? Of the books you read in this vlog, I have previously read Interview with the Vampire, a number of years ago. I am planning on rereading it before the end of the year. First time I read it, I read it in one sitting, finishing it in the wee small hours of the morning (like 2am ish) and was so scared I had to sleep with the light on! I share this story to demonstrate why I don’t read a lot of horror - too susceptible to my imagination running away with me (kind of like Anne of Green Gables and the haunted wood 😹)… Thank you for sharing this video, it was (as always) really enjoyable. ✨✨✨✨

If you finish the second book, there’s a whole book of novellas for it. I think the first two you can read after book two, but the one in Jorgen’s perspective comes after book three.

The Skyward series atm is my favourite series of all time partially thanks to Sophie Aldred narrating the UK audiobooks. Aldred played Ace in Doctor Who many years ago and I had a huge crush on her. You can also get the Skyward Flight trilogy of novellas which do give more incite into some parts of the story. Unfortunately, it isn’t written by Brandon Sanderson but Janci Patterson, under Sanderson’s guidance. Whilst I enjoyed Patterson’s writing she introduced tropes that I personally would have preferred to read in other books than the Skyward series. Yes they are worth reading, and I would like to read more of Janci’s work, but I don’t know how they will effect the story as a whole.

Such a fun reading vlog. I thought my roommate is a vampire is a cute fall read and I feel like that book is getting a bad rep with the ratings. It is a fun read. I read 78% into Skyward and unfortunately not for me. For Halloween I am planning to take my kids around trick or treating and watching a movie to celebrate the holiday.
