Oh, The Raven Boys finally! Haha... The reveal was really shocking to me as well(coming from someone who generally sees a plot twist coming from a mile away). It picks up with the no. of twists and turns from the 2nd books. You're gonna fall more deeply in love with the characters. And yes, Ronan just steals everyone's heart. Just you wait😆 I'm in my classics era right now. Just finished Anne of Green Gables, moving on to A Room With a View. Btw, I love that blue autumn sweater, it's super cute on you. The ember in the ashes series is so explosive but had it ended in a different manner it could have been one of my top series... unfortunately it isn't. But i still remember being absolutely hooked when i read it, so it was enjoyable.

Glad you enjoyed Starsight! If you want a light hearted Sci-Fi adventure like the Skyward series I feel like the Aurora Rising trilogy fulfilled that in me personally! Also don't forget to read the Skyward Flight Novellas, Sunreach and ReDawn I read after Starsight, and then read Evershore after Cytonic

Chronologically, Skyward Flight (bind up of the first three novellas) is the next book to read as it is set parallel to the time that Spenser is away. There is a fourth novella, Defending Elysium, but that is a prequel to Skyward. With regard to other sci-fi books you may enjoy, I would suggest The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells. This series mainly consists of novellas that build the characters and world in preparation for the novels. Yes they are a must read before getting to the novels. What I can say about The Murderbot Diaries without giving anything away is that they make me think, if John McClane (Die Hard), Marvin the Android (Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) & a couch potato had a baby, it would be Murderbot.

I have been reading XOXO, Keeper of the Lost Cities Everblaze, Nevermoor: The Trails of Morrigan Crow, None Shall Sleep, The Red Scrolls of Magic, and planning to start Warbreaker soon. I am planning to catch up with Wyvern and Words book club picks instead of reading A Ember of Ashes series so I have to read Warbreaker, The Poppy War, and Strange the Dreamer. I am planning to read The Mistborn Saga after Warbreaker.

If you want to read more sci fi, maybe try „this is how you loose the time war“ its a 200 page novella about two time traveler’s fighting in opposite fractions and leaving secret notes for each other to read.

Please read Project Hail Mary! :D It's one of the first sci-fi I read and even though it had elements that were scientific and hard to wrap my head around, the main character and his journey was just amazing. I would describe it as heartwarming even though very scary things were happening LOL

The Raven Boys: read it, shocked by how much I ended up enjoying it mostly because of the characters and the atmosphere. Definitely weird. A Torch Against the Night: I really tried 😅 I loved the first book, but I just hated Helene so much that I couldn’t stand a book mostly from her perspective and I ended up DNFing the rest of the series because of her. A House of Flame and Shadow: I really want to read it before the spoilers start pouring in too, but I’m still working through HoSaB! Always love these vlogs, they’re so much fun 🥰

For Sci fi books I would recommend you Project : Hail Mary or on German : der Astronaut, because of the significant science elements. And the other thing would be everything from terry pretchet in the sci fi Departement , but it’s really hilarious

I totally understand why the flickering fairy lights frustrate you so much! I ran into a similar issue with one of the lamps in my living room. Its brightness is adjustable which is why I prefer it to the overhead light but there's certain brightness settings that my camera has personal beef with, apparently. Even if my human eye can't pick it up, the frequency of some brightness settings makes the light appear to be flickering in clips I film with my camera. IT'S SO ANNOYING!

I have been reading CC3 and I have gotten to ~55% of the way through and I feel like it is stop and go with my interest in it. When things are like that for me I feel like it can slump me out a little bit, but we will see. Hopefully I will finish by the end of the month, but seeing as how I am a slow reader, I do not think that is going to happen at all especially with a full time job.

I've just been listening to a bunch of audiobooks whilst I've been gaming. The latest audiobook I finished was The Castle of Otranto. And I don't know how I feel about it. Like I don't feel like I've gained anything from it, but I can understand its place in defining the gothic genre. But there was nothing particularly uncanny about it, which I tend to associate with the gothic.

Havent read skyward but i read illuminae (by amie kaufman and jay kristoff) early this year, which was a rll fun ya sci fi, its completely multi-media so its a fast read, and got some interesting ai and concepts while having sarcasic teenage characters, highly reccomend (cant speak for the rest of the series though) :D

This is my first time being here so I understand how you feel but when I read war and peace and zodiac academy it was the best thing I could read in my life I'm on book 2 In zodiac academy and it's a fantasy book about these two twins and there last name our vagas and they are the ruler of the fas I believe we'll the story follows is that they enter this school called zodiac academy and they discovered that they have some kinda of power that they where born with and everyone in the school wants to kill them except there two friends they made and they take on these embarrassing challenges that they have to do other than that it is a wonderful book I've read the first one and I just kept reading until I fine out what happened in the book😮😊.
