I read Alchemists of Loom last year and cannot forget the "harvesting "! Definitely a book I will not forget. I think Mooncakes looks such fun and I was lucky to get an arc.

I started reading Alchemists of Loom last year and put it down. I picked it up because of all the great things that were said about it. I think I went into the book thinking it was something else but after watching this is makes me want to give the book another try!

Am so with you about the feminist forward rather than accuracy in terms of HR, it's part of the reason that up till recently, I've been unwilling to pick up any (well the standard English Regency stuff anyway) as being a POC it's even worse for me. Although, if I do want accuracy in HR I'll choose a Beverly Jenkins or Alyssa Cole as I know that their stories are based on high levels of research. And I'm glad to hear that you only like the thought, not the reality of drinking blood hahaha!!! TFS :)
