I enjoyed Tomorrow Tomorrow Tomorrow. My book club picked it and although none of us are fans of video games (Minnesota ladies in our 50s and 60s) we all loved the book! Just goes to show that grabbing books out of our usual reads is a great idea!!! Btw, do you have a patreon account??

It makes me so warm and fuzzy inside. 💕 And Joel should totally put a link to the recipe for what he was baking ‘down below’! I don’t even know how to spell it to look it up. 🤨 😋

Just what I needed today! Thank you! As delightful as ever. Steamy windows! 😮💨🤣💜 I stopped in at my local indie today and picked up the new Attica Locke. It’s the third and last book in the Darren Mathews Highway 59 series. Really looking forward to it. The two previous books were excellent! Starting tonight! I’m also listening to a crime novel at night, a take on Strangers on a Train. So far, so good! I read 9 books in August. Nightwatching by Tracey Sierra was my absolute favorite (even over The History of Sound). I need a good scare. Very highly recommended. My least favorite was definitely The God of the Woods, a book in desperate need of editing. Way too long for what it was. Lots of people loved it, but I kind of knew going in that the length would kill it for me.

Did I see Joel blush when Greg mentioned steaming up the car windows???? As I play catch up with my reading I will definitely have to grab The House in the Cerulean Sea of my bookshelf soon. I am trying to "read my shelves" so I have Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, Gabrielle Zevin: The Inland Island, Josephine Johnson, Bel Canto, Ann Patchett, This Is Happiness, Niall Williams and The Country Girls, Edna O’Brien to keep me busy. I have been packing up my books as I am going to be painting my livingroom where most of my books live. Oh my Greg, I wonder how you did it when you redid your library. I bought some new shelving units and thb I am overwhelmed!!! Any advice is welcomed! Good to see you both and of course it is great to see Teddy along for most of the video. Joel I am going to try and bake some Scali bread which is a popular Italian style bread (Scali family) in the Boston area. I hope it comes out good! You inspire me to keep baking now that I am retired. Be well and will see you on the next video.

Hey you three! Still 13 weeks for Cerulean Sea but only 2 for This Is Happiness. Juggling times on Libby. I have a hard time getting into audiobooks, maybe because I’m so addicted to reading! Any suggestions for really good absorbing audios, as I have a trip coming up.
@SupposedlyFun2 ай бұрын
It might be helpful to start with a book you already like--there are a lot of productions of classic books, for example. If you like To Kill a Mockingbird, Sissy Spacek does a great reading of that book. I've heard the audio of Charlotte's Web is great, too. The first audiobooks I listened to were mysteries (believe it or not, given how little I read mysteries anymore), and then I transitioned to nonfiction. I had actually started with podcasts, which made it helpful for me to get into the format of listening. Not sure if that's helpful, but that's how I got started.
