Thanks for reminding me to get to the Murderbot series! I’m happy to hear you get to move back home. Congrats! I just finished The Gods of Tango by De Robertis and loved it.

I hope to get to that one! Especially since I finished Perla and loved it.

What a bummer about Strange Weather! I love Joe Hill as well, but I haven’t read this one (it’s on my kindle). I wonder how I’ll feel about it when I finally get to it. Good luck on the move back home :)

Just hearing the word Murderbot intrigues me, one I'll have to keep an eye out for. Have you read much of the Star Wars "Legends" stories? Personally it doesn't bother me if it's not "canon" anymore, some of the books sound really interesting. My problem is that there can be such a big gap in time from one book to another and I very much like continuity in a series I read. Strange Weather was the book Joe Hill was promoting when we went to his event at our local Waterstones. He really made me curious for each story but with finding so many new authors (to me at least) this year I've not picked it up off the shelf yet. When I do I'll be sure to let you know what's I thought. Congratulations on the job and the move back home. I know you can make a new place a home and that not every aspect of a place is amazing but at the end of the day home is home. After almost 3 weeks I was ready for some familiarity and I was only on holiday. I honestly don't know if I could uproot my life and move somewhere new. Kudos to you for having the courage to do it in the first place. Whatever the future holds for you I wish you nothing but happiness and success.

I haven't read any of the Legends books but I'm thinking of doing that because a few of them have gotten great reviews. Thank you Paul, it was very challenging to move but I admit I'm relieved that I'll be going back home, I'm very excited thank you for your kind words!

You're very welcome, luv. We gotta do what makes us happy and if being back home makes you happy then it's great you're doing it. I get really annoyed with the English mentality at times and the way they act towards people in retail but I couldn't imagine not living here. Weird I know. I've probably mentioned them before but I recommend the Darth Bane trilogy. It shows how the Rule of Two was reintroduced, nothing feels like filler and the author does a great job of tying up loose ends. I ended up getting rid of them years ago but do plan on re-buying and rereading them at some point.

BTW, I've just finished Strange Weather. I've put a review on my Goodreads if you fancy knowing how I felt about it. Hope you're doing ok, not seen you around for a while.

Nowadays if I'm not enjoying a book I give up on it no matter how much Ive already read of it I get an immense sense of relief when I realise I no longer have to face a book I'm not enjoying

I typically don't finish books that I'm not enjoying, but when it's a favorite author of mine I always have a hard time finishing their books for some reason.

Congrats and good luck with the move! That’s too bad that the Joe Hill book was so disappointing 😕

Thank you! Yes, I was disappointed but I've enjoyed his other three books I've read quite a bit so I guess it balances out :P
