I am getting so sick of Matt getting ridiculed for wanting to address issues that are brought to his attention. Stand up for your wife! Stand up for yourself! Listeners aren’t sick of hearing you address stuff. If anything it makes us feel heard. He is allowed to bring up that his wife is being harassed about a ‘drama’ that Erin brought to the light. I love this podcast but I’m getting sick of everyone just pushing Matt’s problems under the rug and pretending he’s the problem for reading comments. People went to his wife’s personal social media. Of course he’s going to address it. Obviously these people have completely different relationships behind closed doors and know eachother and each others boundaries better than any of us but as a listener I’m getting really tired of nobody taking accountability or even acknowledging what matt says.

Mike minimizing Patricia’s feelings about what’s being said about her on Reddit is so annoying. Why are you allowed to address things just because they’re making political assumptions but Patricia can’t be concerned about people attacking her character? Just because Mike feels like it shouldn’t matter (because it’s interpersonal) doesn’t mean other people feel the same. If you’re gonna sit here and say you shouldn’t care what other people are saying then doesn’t that also apply to people making assumptions about your political views? You don’t get to pick and chose what other people are worried and concerned about. I’m just so tired of Matt and his feelings being bulldozed on this podcast. He was standing up for his wife who was rightfully upset since she was receiving hate comments. Erin, don’t bring something up on a public podcast and expect it not to have consequences on the people you are talking about. I can only imagine if the roles were reversed the tantrum you would throw to defend TJ and attack Matt. And it’s not just this incident either. Matt is the punching bag of this podcast, and it’s sad to see even Mike and Carly joining it. It may be just jokes but over time that can really affect you.

Patricia saw what everyone was saying because they were saying it directly to her on her socials and Erin knows it. I'm not on Reddit and don't know what those comments are but that argument from her makes no sense either. They practically begged people to follow their podcast reddit to talk about them and then when people are, it gets an eyeroll and her YET AGAIN invalidating Matt and telling him to stay off reddit. Like what?? They need to call her out on her BS instead of going along with it every. single. time. And to Erin: I don't enjoy talking about someone like this in a comment section, it's not something I've done before, but you keep treating Matt this way and we're forced to see it every time we watch and it is exhausting. Literally the fact that Erin didn’t acknowledge that she was making sly faces to Carly when they were talking about the party last time is so frustrating. She was completely giving the narrative that Patricia was threatened by her being there. Even her just saying “sure” when they asked her to speak was her just being like silent for Matt’s sake. Really frustrating to watch I wish you guys honestly left the conversation out and just simplified the apology 🫠 they don’t have to like each other but for Erin to joke the way she did last time and make those faces at Carly on video it was pretty immature.

Why isn’t Matt allowed to bring up things on the podcast? I’ve heard Erin and Carly clear up things on their podcast, many times. And I only know about the Patricia situation from Erin and Carly talking about it on Only Friends. even though you say that you don’t care, you know saying it on a podcast is going to give the whole thing a place to breed. I like this podcast but I’ve never listened to a podcast where the hosts are constantly picking on the other ones, even if it’s ‘for the bit’ or ‘just a joke’. It breaks up the whole flow of things when you stop and bicker about what Matt is doing wrong again. It feels like you have these underlying issues with each other that come out in snarky comments .

I use to really love this podcast, but the only reason I stay is for Matt. And even tho it’s brought to us that it’s all a joke and this is how they are, Matt doesn’t deserve to be treated like this every episode. He can’t just be himself and address things that are bothering him and his family. As someone who goes to events with a friend in a wheelchair, you are an asshole if you purchase ADA seats as an able body person. Every time we go to a concert we are surrounded by able body people in ADA. It is infuriating! Leave them for the people who need them!

It should have been everyone making him feel bad for clearing things up. In response to the pilot submission. Alcoholism in aviation is wayyyy more common than one would think. I have been in almost the EXACT situation the listener that wrote in was in. My ex however is still flying to this day. And NO pilots do not get breathalyzed prior to flying.

Hi! I work at a bunch of music venues and I wanna comment on the Accessibility Tickets story. People actually do this all the time for high demand shows. I, alongside a lot of my coworkers, understand that a lot of people r just gonna buy the tickets that are available at this point. HOWEVER, I would definitely recommend speaking to the venue workers once you get to the show and explaining that you bought the tickets to get in but that you don’t actually need that specific section. They’ll usually relocate you with a better ticket! We’ve run out of chairs a lot of times because people don’t intentionally realize they are being seated in Accessible seating (and of course we can’t ask if they “need” the seat in case they have an invisible disability). This may not be something people think to do, so I wanted to share in case this helps people’s concert experiences 😊

When Matt talked about TikToks calling out people that cheat at bachelor parties etc, that reminded me of a KZbinr and her story. Her long time boyfriend went on a trip to another country and cheated on her. The other woman looked him up on social media and realized that he was in a relationship with the KZbinr. She emailed her and told her what happened. The KZbinr broke up with him and was bummed for months. Now she is very happy with her new boyfriend. I am picturing the end of every Scooby Doo episode, where the guy says, "I would have gotten away with it too, if it hadn't been for those pesky social media apps." Also, I'm wheelchair bound and the person that got the ADA tickets is definitely an asshole.

About the pilot thing - it would not be breaking news. Airlines have an entire system for pilots with drug/alcohol issues. It's not an uncommon thing. They are rehabbed and eventually, when appropriate, cleared to return to work. If they fired every pilot that has had drug/alcohol issues on the job, we'd have shortages!
