Wow that’s a nice looking tractor. It reminds me of the 345 my dad bought in either 99 of 2000. He got the snowblower and mower bagger/tilt cart for his attachments. My dad didn’t have a cab on his tho.

I really like the looks of the 68 I like them the way the hood is shaped and the lights and the grill. It has a really cool look to its different. Have the opportunity to pick one of these up right now with the motor fully rebuilt. They were asking $1,000 and they had to drive down to $750 . I'm going to have to jump on it for that price 😊!

I hope to someday restore our cub cadet. Have used it for years to mow grass until one of my clients gave me his Honda rider that’s so much quieter and smother and water cooled tow cylinder engine. The cub cadet got put into snowblower only service when another client was selling their cub cadet and implements such as plow, whelk weights, chains, snow blower, and most importantly a Cozy Cab! I love sitting in there when the wind blows snow back and I just hit the wiper switch and give a hand gesture to the snow.

The 140 was ahead of its time, with a hydrostatic transmission and 3-way hydraulics. The 140 was Deere's first hydrostatic lawn and garden tractor, and the first year (68) was the only one that had the 12hp Kohler, begining with the second year (69) the 140 received a power increase, with a new 14hp Cast Iron Kohler. As a Deere Dealer I sold several of those Cozy Cabs in the 80's and 90's mostly with new 400 Series tractors (400-420-430) and a few with new 300 series tractors (317-318) The two tone painted snow blower isn't correct, it would have been all yellow. "Nothing Runs Like A Deere" 🦌👍🇺🇸

What was the sticker shock on the 140 in 1968? Base not decked out like this one.

@@brucewelty7684 I became a dealer in 80, about 5 years after the 140 was discontinued, although we did service quite a few, and we also took several in on trades. In 68 when they debuted, I think one with 3-way hydraulics and a 48" mower retailed for about $2K which would've been one of, if not the most expensive lawn and garden tractor available at the time. That cab would've been another $500 and the snowblower would've been around $400. Don't quote me on this, because I'm just going by memory, and that's been a long time ago.

Actually the two tone on the snowblower is correct. They were yellow with green auger.

@@RealJohnWayne your incorrect. They even had green augers on the snowblowers for the round fender tractors. Only very early snowblowers for round fenders were all yellow. Early model 49 snowblowers were yellow and green
