The fact that you can hear Atreus crying in pain from sticking his entire arm into the light and resisting getting fully pulled in and then he also immediately rushes to check on Kratos, thinking his father must be hurt, only to get shouted at hurts my heart. Poor lad said it felt like he was on fire when his hand was stuck in for a second, and we saw how much Kratos roared in pain (and in the book Kratos thinks it feels hotter than Hades!) when he did it so imagine how much it hurt Atreus! And this is after 2-3 days of waiting, being stuck in a literal war zone, potentially being sleep deprived and hungry!

In Ragnarok, there's dialogue where Atreus asks if he can be muscular like Kratos (to be stronger). Kratos and Mimir tell him that he's already strong from simply being a God, and that his form has no play on the matter. Getting to be as muscular as Kratos, however, would require training and discipline. I'm thinking Disney's Hercules.

This hints how powerful Atreus really Is, just a child and he doesn't even understand who or what he is only when he realizes he gains more power. The beginning of the game it's Kratos being harsh and Atreus with compassion, in the middle of the game Kratos confronts his past to save his son and Atreus' becomes drunk with godhood so they're roles switch and in the end they have a balanced relationship as father and son.

Everyone is talkin about how hard it must have been for Atreus. And I dont disagree. But Kratos was absolutely SHOOK. The man that went to hell and back and did the most unspeakable things was just so powerless. His way of showing his emotions really hit a part in me that I didnt know I had.

Ok with the body count from awesomenoob57 we have 68 more or less, taking into account that he was around 2 days we can know that he killed 34 per day or rather 1.41 elves per hour which discounts the ones he would have killed silently or fast gives us a less impressive result but it is still impressive for a child of his age

How long is a long time? Well, if I recall correctly it was revealed a while back that Atreus waited 3 days to pull Kratos out with no food, no drink, and no sleep. And as you can very well see he was busy killing Dark Elves nonstop during that time. Oh and if you recall Kratos gave the Leviathan Axe to Atreus to keep while he went in there so imagine how powerful Atreus was at that point to be able to wield the Axe and kill that many Dark Elves.
