I love how Mimir stayed silent in this part. He would’ve given Atreus a short lesson about Lemnos but he chose to give this moment to the both of them instead. Not only that, there are times where he could’ve interfered when both of them were fighting, but instead he chose to stay silent. It makes me appreciate how respectful he is.

Also, he speaks in a gentler tone in the realm between realms after Kratos gets the Blades of Chaos. He can absolutely tell that Kratos is reliving a bad memory in a tough situation and gently lets Kratos know that he can vent to Mimir if he needs to.

I don't know what it is about this moment but it's got very subtle comedy and it's a breath of fresh air to actually see Kratos smile and it's such an endearing moment between father and son that it perfectly shows that like Kratos said later in the game that despite him being a machine of war there is still humanity and goodness in him and he totally delivers on that 👏

I finished the game last night. All of the commentary with people going "Oh I like this, they are starting to get along", hits so hard because I felt the same way and then the game ended 5 minutes later haha. Everything about the story down to the ending was amazing, I just found it slightly abrupt. I think I only felt this way due to 3 of the realms being inaccessible. Since Asgard was on the table, I figured the story would end there. But metagaming bs aside, this game was truly incredible.
