Real Bout Special playthrough (SEGA Saturn) (1CC)

Playthrough with Terry. This is a playthrough of the "Original Mode" which has CPU controlled challengers appear now and then. The playthrough also has the extra fight against Nightmare Geese, along with the "Blue Mary's Blues" video.
This version of Real Bout Special was only released in Japan, but it does have an English language option. It requires a 1 meg RAM cartridge to run.

Looks like this version is missing a few frames, (slightly), from the NGCD version, but the game speed looks faster to me. I assume it is missing some frames, like all Saturn ports of Neo Geo games, but considering its much cheaper and still really good, looks like a winner to me! Nice vid!

It's amazing how each of the console versions are changed -Saturn version has more correct sound and voice placements than NGCD and PSX -The exclusive Original Mode that simulates an arcade feel when CPU challengers randomly appear out of nowhere. -Geese stage intro is cut slightly :(

Just picked up and received the Best Collection for this, so got two more SNK titles in the collection. My Saturn needed some new blood, both the Real Bout games fit the bill nicely.

Bloodreign1 That box of two games were one of the highlights of my import collection. The music on them are also un striped meaning they'll play on a CD player. They're not the full versions of the songs but still very good. The video at the end is a real treat if an age gone by and it was something magic all those years ago. Still is.

"-Saturn version has more correct sound and voice placements than NGCD and PSX" Can't agree about NGCD, Saturn's FX sounds really good, but the voice sometimes sounds stuffy like not being in the same enviroment when you hear another phrase, gives a weird feeling, besides sometimes sounds really clearly when the other versions don't.... or sometimes didn't even sound(nothing comes)... - The Original Mode is in the Neo CD too, don't know about PSX's RBS-DM, can't remember, it's a different game.
