Death Notes original manga one shot, which is like a one chapter pilot, did have a plot point where you could erase names that were written in the death note. People who got their names erased would come back to life. Kinda like a life note. The stakes in the main series wouldn’t be the same if the deaths weren’t permanent though so I’m glad they stuck with the death note itself

I will always remember this sketch, because me and my friends in elementary school reenacted it and wrote the list of people that Ian had wrote down in a notebook. @olive..9170 well that's called projecting intent and parasocially defending someone from said imagined intent. what i was doing, was interpreting Ian's demeanor and commenting on the strong contrast on said demeanor between reuniting with Anthony.

It’s important to bear in mind that the complete context behind someone’s actions may not always be apparent, and it is not up to us to establish assumptions or evaluations on their character, particularly when our personal connection with them is limited. That being said, I do agree that it’s very nice to see the positive change in Ian and Anthony’s dynamic-I just believe that such can be celebrated without attaching negative labels to Ian or others.
