There are more coconuts here than people so it is part of the traditional Filipino diet. The incidence of obesity outside the capital is very less compared to the cities which are full of western type of diet. Thank you for speaking the facts. Years ago my doctor prescribed Lipitor for a statin to reduce my cholesterol and triglycerides. Due to the cost of Lipitor, I petitioned my doctor to prescribe a generic statin instead. She insisted that I continue to use Lipitor. After the patent for Lipitor expired and drug companies could copy it, she had no problem with generic drugs. Learned later that Phizer was giving her perks like cruises and vacations to prescribe their drug. Follow the money.

You are correct that stopping keto was what did it. Being fat adapted over a long period of time on a keto diet means your body forgets how to manage carbohydrates. Suddenly switching would have been like throwing a none swimmer in the deep end of the pool and saying ’have fun’! As you went on to find, there’s no reason a mother can’t carry whilst practising keto but anyone who plans to return to eating carbs either needs to include small quantities with their normal diet or do a stepped reintroduction over a long period of time.

About 10 years ago I heard that margarine was not really food and I had suspected something funny going on with this strange stuff, so I put it to the test. It was either spring or summer when I placed a good dollop of margarine on one saucer and a good dollop of butter on another, then I placed them in my shed. Every so often I would check upon my experiment, and it was then that I noticed the flies were only landing and eating the butter. Not one fly did I see, or ever see on the margarine. After some more time, the butter was turning mouldy, (as it should do being made of real food), however the margarine remained the same, only slightly paler looking. I think I left my experiment going for a good year. In the end, the butter had completely disappeared, whereas the margarine remained with the same volume, only resembling Vaseline. I have heard that margarine has more in common with paint than any food!! Your channel is fascinating and very helpful for those who want to eat the correct and healthy food. . Thank you.

@@robertyang2864 After taking both MCT oil as well as using coconut oil on a daily basis for several months, I developed a pain on the left side of my chest which I believe to be an inflamed and perhaps stagnant lymphatic area. At first I was worried about the saturated fat in the oil causing a cardio issue, but then decided it must be something else. Like maybe the coconut products are killing candida, viruses, and bacteria in the area. Who the heck knows! I stopped taking all coconut products just to be on the safe side.

Another great video. I’m Canadian and for the record, most Canadians don’t watch CBC reporting anyway lol. I’ve been on low carb, no sugar, no junk and a healthy fat diet that includes MCT oil for two months now. Lost a lot of weight, no inflammation, never felt better. I never know whether to laugh or cry. Whenever I hear the term "bad cholesterol" or see cereal commercials advertising their heart benefits I at first wanted to shout at the TV. When coworkers tell me that the brain needs sugar, therefore you must have it in your diet, and that you need to lower cholesterol in any way you can, I have to bite my tongue. Finally, I decided it isn't up to me to crusade, but to just take care of myself. Much less stressful. Thanks for taking on the role of making the information available.

No. The idea that all experts are corrupt is dangerous and ignorant. It's what manipulators want you to think. The vast majority of experts are highly trained people who know what they are talking about. A relatively small percentage of them are on the wrong track or are focusing on a sub-problem and missing the big picture. The field of human nutrition, sadly, is rather enriched in that small percentage. The real problem is the trashy media (mostly television), not the experts.

Half a year ago I was interested in the chemical formulas for sugar and fat and petrol and diesel and how it converts to CO2 when being burnt and how much energy in joule/cal this releases. I learned a lot the hard way by digging through several web pages, I learned how fatty acids are chained together into triglycerides. So I could calculate that roughly that 1kg fat + 3 kg oxygen burns to about 3 kg CO2 and 1 kg water by releasing 9000 kcal of energy. I found information that coconut oil consists a lot of medium chained acids that are considered good for health, but without an explanation. You wrapped everything up in 5 minutes and added so much information about biology and about the things happening inside the body. This video was so enjoying for me to watch. It confimed my study was correct and you delivered so much additional information. The circle has closed - everything makes more sense, now. (Only thing I missed was information about trans-fat-connections vs unsaturated ones; especially after you mentioned already margarine. And as you know, margarine is one molecule away from being plastic, haha :) Thanks for all your effort for making those valuable content about health and for busting myths.

Great job once again. Without the intrnet and ppl like you Sten, this 60 yr young man would be very sick. I was on a fast track to metabolic syndrome. I had High BP, and sugar and my gut was huge. My HDL was 1 and for the first time ever my triglys were over two I watched a few carnivore vids and after watching several of your vids I started making progress. BP came down from 145/96 to 120/80 in a week with carnivore and IF and OMAD. My sugar took over three weeks to come down from 6,5 to 4,5 and now my ketones have been arround 1 to 3 . My viseral fat% has come down two% but is still 18 so there is a long waay to go. I was pleasently surprised one day when just after two hours after a meal my ketones were 2,1 and sugar 5,2 I+ve had the knowledge of Low Carb since 2006 and been yo yoing for years. Now I feel I finally have a grip on things good and I truly want to thank you for your fantastic videos. They give me a Stark( see what I did there) kick in the butt and every time I might be confused I turn to watch you. I wish you the very best and a big KIITOS Dr ROCK:)

When I saw this report, I automatically recognized it as a propaganda piece most likely funded by the seed oil industry....

Why not the olive oil industry??
@DanScottChannel5 жыл бұрын
@@ldjt6184 Well, the olive oil industry is not really part of "Big Ag" who often promotes that which is contrary to true human health. Olive oil is among the top oils to consume for health....
