When testing a new-to-the-world idea, we need to prototype both the product and the full experience surrounding it. From this, we conduct Resonance Testing to see how well a new idea resonates with lead consumers and help uncover gaps in the experience. All of this is done early in the process, using rapid, inexpensive prototyping techniques so our design teams can iterate and refine the experience quickly.
In this episode of Real Fast, we prototype a new vitamin experience which includes a novel pill dispenser, its packaging and the in-store purchasing experience, including interactions with a store associate. Every detail is simulated to feel completely real. This attention to detail helps provide richer, higher-quality feedback than what you would get from renderings or focus groups.
