New subscriber here that drove for Schneider out of Charlotte for a short time where I had a load from Laredo, TX to the Walmart Distribution Center near Ft. Pierce, FL you dropped of a trailer at and on my way from Laredo to Houston I stopped at the Border Patrol checkpoint where the officer called me Pedro. I am obviously Caucasian, was wearing a Vietnam Veterans cap with LTC rank on it and a Combat Infantryman's badge and did not really appreciate it based on how the officer said it. I am very respectful of all law enforcement but give me a break. Much of the scenery I have seen you drive thru in Arizona and New Mexico does look like what they have for ATS. Good job so keep up the good work and God bless.

5:23 - 5:30 That! That! That is why I want to be tractor trailer driver bc of the cool sunrises and sunsets! Plus you get tons of time to reflect on your life! And listen to country songs or whatever your genre of song may be. Also how’s the rental truck you have treating ya? Also just a side note for when your going through Illinois don’t take the sky bridge with a load or else you’ll pay a fortune for the extra axels even when your not carrying a load it’s still expensive it’s best when your in Illinois to avoid the sky ridge so you don’t have to pay a fortune

Is the steering that loose on that 2016? Reminds me of old cars from my childhood where constantly had to correct with a wobble the whole time.
@wyattsibley98794 жыл бұрын
It’s worm gear and not rack and pinion so there’s slop in the steering
@adamwajdenfeld28354 жыл бұрын
This is normal for semis you don’t want the worm gear too tight or it will break. There is about 1-2” of play in the wheel so you have to move the wheel a lot to make minor adjustments and the cascadias have pretty soft suspension dampening so they move around a lot over bumps

I used to live in Deming New Mexico. Its about 5 miles from the border. So to leave you have to go through the annoying border patrol stops. I think if i remember correctly they have one every 75 to 100 miles or something like that. Also my time there one weird thing i remember is there would be so many blown and ripped tires on the side of the road they would have people in pick up trucks picking them up off the side of the highway.
