I'm from Barbados and this was a favourite meal (minus the spag) growing up on Saturdays or in between paydays even now. It is also what I call a struggle dish, made simply, quickly and cheaply but still highly delicious in taste, presentation and flavour. Really rib hugging, belly filling and soul satisfying. It is perfectly set off with a fresh garden salad or a mix of corn, beans and carrots served with a tall glass of chilled lemonade or mauby. Bon appetit.

I'm white British but I was taught how to cook Ghanaian and Lebanese food. Corned beef or sardine stew was a cheap and quickly meal that filled my kids belly. Vermicelli rice which is Lebanese, I always make with Ghanaian goat meat stew and I'm famous for !!!!
@toomuch8931 Жыл бұрын
Who cares that you are “white British” 🙄 thankfully corned beef is mostly seasonsed so your kids had a tasty meal full of flavor not bland and tasteless which is common consistency for British dishes.

Rice and corned beef stew is top 5 in my household! Sometimes I make it without the tinned tomatoes and just add water to the stew after the tomatoe paste.
