We're only just now getting to the point where that's not always true, but there's still a lot of stuff that just doesn't translate over yet.

It's able to do that just fine for me, but the stamina thing and how it slows your punches is hard to get used to.

VR combat is going to be flawed no matter what even after they detect fast movements. The issue is of resistance and de-syncing; if the person blocks you, or meets your leg/arm etc and pushes on it, there is currently no way to simulate it. In real life someone can even counter you and throw or trip you (not in boxing, but other styles of combat), but that can't happen in VR. So they make all enemies a ragdoll which is unrealistic. It's hard to come up with a solution for how to fix this until we gets direct-to-brain Matrix VR technology.

I kinda think the same but with the complete opposite feeling (not enthusiastic at all). There are sports that I think it wouldn’t be that different once that VR reaches a top but combat sports... man. It looses completely the point about stepping up in a ring, mat, octagon, etc. To have respect for the opponent because you’re challenging in a fight where anything can happen but you’re fighting your fears when stepping up there in, probe your limits. Sorry, just a combat sports fan here more than a video games fan.

They tell you to pull straight back (bad idea) instead of slip to the side. You are limited by the character's stamina instead of your own. It encourages so many bad boxing habits.

As someone who works in a place that has VR and tests it regularly, Creed isn’t fun to watch or play. The gameplay is so repetitive and just goes on forever. That isn’t even mentioning the bad tracking and limited movement in the game. We still don’t advertise the game just because everyone that plays it doesn’t like it.

@@mreverybody1150 Thrill of the fight is a much better game. You can actually use footwork, properly slip punches, get angles, etc.... You're limited by your own endurance, and the way that hard punches do more damage, has you swinging hard and puffing for air. TotF is a proper boxing simulator, and Creed is an arcade game.

She did great on Champion mode. I've been doing about a half hour of this game a day and it will wear you out. I love that in this game, you have to think about their weakness, read their tells and attack smarter and not full on berserker style. A smart boxer will do better in this game and she proved that. Wow, I have to say that this is REALLY freaking awesome. THIS is the type of stuff young girls should look up to. I love seeing women excel in male dominated sports and it was so badass seeing her fight (even if it was just with silly VR equipment on). What an inspiration and so freaking badass!! Sad to see most of the comments about about how "hot" she is. Just shows that we haven't gotten THAT far with women in male dominated sports yet. You NEVER see the men being called hot by women like me who watch them, even though many of them are attractive. To me that seems condescending in itself. Surely they should just believe in them self and not see another woman doing something in order to realise it can be done. Barriers need to be removed but it should be OK that you do something because you have a disposition for it, now it is a seen as some sort of conspiracy if there is a gender tendency for a sport, a lifestyle or job. That is unless it is female dominated, I am waiting to see when we have quotas for men in jobs that are traditionally female and also to see males encouraged into female "dominated" sports. Typically they are criticized for doing what they feel happy doing. As a former boxer I enjoyed this a lot and think that people that are this way inclined should look up to her, boxing is not a sport you want to be bad at so I would just encourage people to find what they love, what they are good at, what they are driven to do and chase that, whatever it is; just like the boxer in the video. Certainly that is my message to my son and daughter.
