THANKS JOE ! Love an honest review and so glad you kept skating it for a whole month ! Wasn’t expecting that. Much appreciate the visual distraction notes and the physical enhancement notes !

I loved my flight deck, but it just wouldn’t die!!! I like the ritual of changing decks every month or so. Even though flight decks cost more, they can last minimum 3 times longer. So they are great value from that point of view. But again, changing decks is all part of the fun for me.

At 49 getting back into skateboarding, I took a chance on this deck. There is no way I will use all the "features", but again, I appreciate that some serious thought has gone into the refinement. And, frankly, I need all the help I can get ;) The only issue is, here in Japan with a weak yen, regular decks go for the equivalent of $150 and flight decks are at least $200. Very spendy.

I love the ingenuity of this deck and it seems great but I'm stuck on my McCoy VX Twin. I feel you about keeping the setup the same too. That new McCoy deck just dropped and I might have to get a third backup!

Just got a new one yesterday, busted one of the corners of not even 10 minutes into the first session. I'm hoping they'll replace it... (Update) powell peralta is one of the best companies. They are sending me a brand new one. If you buy a Powell Peralta board thats delaminated, or that breaks way early. Its usually covered by the warranty...

Damn, I thought I'd just be able to pickup the deck at the standard price of other decks from any store that stocked Powell. But you are right, this deck seems to cost double in the few places that list it and they are out of stock.
@theobell200211 ай бұрын
@@dfpguitar I could order one for 119 euros at an online skateshop chain located in my country. That's not too bad. Keep in mind this is a FLIGHT constructed deck as well and FLIGHT decks usually go for 100+ anyway. (And shaped decks too which this is)

If that board was a little bigger, somewhere between 8.5 and 8.75 instead of 8.25 and 8.4 I'd get it in a heartbeat. But I have stayed below 8.5 in... over a decade.

So basically you could make grip tape that has markers printed on it 🤔 Tail here ....Nose here....pressure there , treflips here and save $50 Or just buy a paint pen and mark it like we did in 1989 as a artistic touch to our grip. Atleast their new boards are better than the Bonite experiment by Powell. ...Those boards literally turned to mush if ya left um in the rain. 😂

I think functionally it's the best skateboard ever, but I still prefer the egg shape over this one as far as looks. I'm going to stick with this shape because my tricks look better and feel easier. The egg shape is $10 more in cost as well.
