We had this one girl from UK joining one of our local tiny church in Hong Kong, she literally believe disease and sickness is some kind of punishment from god. We ask for quote, and what's her reasoning behind that, given that the wheelchaired guy didn't actually commit too much crime/sin in his life, and she keep spiting out venomous hatred. It still anger me in a way that it shouldn't, I am not a believer, kinda just in the church to get my grandma, good that the pastor intervened and stopped those crazy accusation. Last time I heard she went to other congregation, we also have those hardcore ''kill all gay and infidel'' kind of church in Hong Kong, rumor say they actually fund christian militias in middle east, pretty insane.

@Kiki Melendez why is it play-pretend? Juan Pablo Robayo This is how most of the real Christians actually are... it’s sad that a minority is taking away what Jesus said and preach a lot of things out of context; that’s why the society’s thoughts are disconnected and don’t really understand what this is all about. Even though a “VR church” is a “crazy idea”, this really represents how God’s church should be these days: “a church ISN’T a museum full of saint people, a church is a hospital for people that need help”. Jesus never closes the door for anyone, he’s always open to people that want to be His friend and follow Him.

Dude same. I’ve gone to catholic school(s) for 11 years now, just finished my freshman year an hour ago lol... and tbh when i was younger i was super religious. I would go home telling my mom and i was so ecstatic about it. Idk what happened but at some point i just got tired of it and grew skeptical. I don’t necessarily think it’s the schools fault... they kind of just drill this information in your head for so long that it loses meaning for many people. I think the worst thing about catholic school are the people who act snobbish or rude because they’re religious. But, you’re going to find that anywhere. I personally have nothing against Catholic schools. They just don’t really teach about religion in an effective way,
@rider79495 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I’m going to have to disrespectfully disagree and say that atheists are more irritating in Catholic school. They (at least the ones here) are extremely stuck up and elitist about their beliefs, and think they’re smarter and better than everyone else, and more “enlightened”, when in reality they’re just switching faiths, there is no “scientific” theory on how we came to be that is 100% confirmed. They’re still putting faith into the fact that the “big bang”, for example, happened, but they can’t really prove it just like us Christians can’t give 100% scientific evidence that God exists. They also won’t shut up about how they’re atheist, they’re almost like vegans really. Idk man i do respect your beliefs but thats just my little tangent
@Hippo.palooza5 жыл бұрын
Most schools teach you what they want to and the way they do that is very poorly executed. It doesn't make you want to go read the bible for yourself and to gind your own faith but to rely on their faith. Nobody is quite like the other person. We all beleive and have our own take on faith. Simply going to a church won't help expand faith but trying to find your own faith does. Just simply knowing theres a god and relying on others beleifs and faiths doesn't give you a one way ticket to heaven. You should expand your own faith rather thsn just blame the school that you don't know god. Some people have a more powerful message than others and some have a larger expansion of faith. Some people stand out more to you but god hasn't gone anywhere. Your faith might be weak but nothings stopping you from making it stronger. (Ik this had nothing to do with legit anything but I felt like this might help someone.)

@@micahwright1578 I think by “chill” he just meant a nice guy, that’s kinda the modern way to put it. And if you could, please point out a part of the video that shows him being an inaccurate image of a pastor in a confident way. And how do you know God didn’t call him to it? @Pineapple a Princess The world has changed so much that it’s not even religious people anymore, and it’s anybody in general. I’m a very accepting person, but everybody has booted up to a more aggressive, diplomatic and defensive system. In the LGBT community for example, you can’t pass by without seeing somebody getting attacked because they don’t support it or they’re heterosexual, but the only reason why they don’t support it is because they don’t have any association with the community - they’re a happy heterosexual and satisfied with their biological gender, and whoever else they know is the same, so they don’t feel a need to support it - but now people believe that if you don’t support the community, you’re a homophobe and discriminate against it. Me as a Christian got a lot of this during Pride Month, and I didn’t even try to get involved. I’m really wary of religious topics in a media, because there’s always a 95% chance that there’ll be that one person that goes “god doesn’t exist, you all are dillusional.” It’s like telling a 5 year old that Santa isn’t real. I genuinely respect everybody and their beliefs, opinions etc but it’s throwing me off a little bit when they start to attack others for their own beliefs.

Peak In my experience, I’ve been Christian getting along with my atheist friends my whole life. This is how most of the real Christians actually are... it’s sad that a minority is taking away what Jesus said and preach a lot of things out of context; that’s why the society’s thoughts are disconnected and don’t really understand what this is all about. Even though a “VR church” is a “crazy idea”, this really represents how God’s church should be these days: “a church ISN’T a museum full of saint people, a church is a hospital for people that need help”. Jesus never closes the door for anyone, he’s always open to people that want to be His friend and follow Him.

Those things are important. They serve as the foundations of the Christian ethic, but Christianity is not reducible to just ethical rules. The heart of Christianity is the Gospel message. That we're all sinners and deserving of Hell but God, in His wisdom and mercy, came down to die on a cross for us so that by believing in Him we can have eternal life. This is great! I really wish people would have this dude’s mindset more often. I mean you miss out on so many potentially amazing conversations and friends without his attitude. If everyone that watched this video acted like this guy then we’d be legitimately one huge step closer to world peace.
