12:00 - Cartman's roast on pre-ordering games was an awesome meta reference to how the South Park game Stick of Truth got delayed in development and I think they weren't able to deliver on the date initially promised to pre-orders, that happened just before this episode.

Specially for Dash - in Game of Thrones there's a bunch of medieval noble powers squabbling for power (because they don't appreciate the value of sharing) while they all ignore the real threat which is the massive army of zombies on the other side of the wall who will all invade when Winter comes. So the Mall security guys are basically the Guards on the Wall, the zombie style shoppers are representing the imminent zombie invasion (which will happen when Black Friday comes), Cartman is doing all the GOT style betraying, Butters is voicing some very valid viewer criticisms about the show's one sided use of nudity (and only ever showing non erect penises etc).

The zombies were definitely a future threat as the series advanced, but as Butters pointed out, the gay weiners were a bigger (no pun intended), more immediate threat... 😂

Just in case you’re wondering, the whole Stop Touching Me Elmo skit was poking fun at a scandal going on around the same time. Kevin Clash, Elmo’s longest running VA/puppeteer, was accused of assaulting three men several years ago when they were still underage, and he was forced to resign from Sesame Workshop because of it. While I’m not entirely sure if he’s guilty or not, the allegations were eventually dropped in 2014 due to a lack of action on the accusers’ part.

Finding your channel earlier this year has been a bonus for me. It's always fun to see someone watch South Park episodes for the first time and actually get the references. Matt Stone and Trey Parker are kind of genius lol. The bonus part comes with the Japanese qualities. I've brought this up before (not sure if you remember me lol) on how I love the Japanese culture, but I'm curious about how you learned to speak the language. Do you happen to have any advice on which dialect is the easiest to start with? I have some basic language books/dictionaries and guides, but I'm curious about your input. ..also willing to bet we're both Xiaoma fans.

Their timing with this release as well cannot be overstated enough, this mini series was like 10/10 there's not a lot of better comedy than this if you remember it all. Tying the console wars that were peaking at the time (which we didn't see again), to game of thrones (which was all the hottness), to black friday shopping (because of it's release in the calendar year) and the release of their own game. This shit was pure genius from every which way you look at it.

I just want to say I have watched alottttt of reaction channels in the time they’ve been around, and I have to say yours is one of the best examples of how this type of thing can be done well. Anyone my parents age (or even my age) can have trouble wrapping their head around “why would you watch someone watch something” and the millions of reactions where it’s just some doofus staring at their screen with a blank face and not commenting on ANYTHING Bc they aren’t paying attention don’t help the case. There’s always been good ones here and there they just normally aren’t the biggest ones, but I’ve found a few people who actually care about music or movies or whatever they react to. You’re probably the best example for what I’d show my dad or someone his age as a reason these videos can be done well and aren’t inherently bad. This guy pays attention, he puts effort in the editing, he catches references and when he doesn’t understand something he asks people to leave it in the comments so he can learn. Im not gonna lie im a pretty cynical guy especially when it comes to KZbin channels, especially reaction channels it’s very easy for me to find reasons to hate them. But this guy honestly is like impossible to hate, he’s so likeable and it speaks to why I check for his videos every day. I could watch a bunch of people react to South Park but I don’t, even though I’ve seen every episode, Bc traditionally whenever I would see one it would kind of suck and just be someone trying to clickbait and react to a popular thing. They just look at it as shock value and “oh South Park is so savage” and ignore all the commentary

I didn't start watching GoT until season 7 just ended on TV, and the reason I wasn't there from the start (partly I didn't have HBO), but because of the way Butters describes it. I heard coworkers gush and rant about it so I had some spoilers going in, but since I had no context for the spoilers, it didn't really bother me. I just wish it didn't go downhill as badly as it did.
