check out flame trees by "Cold chisel" jimmy is lead - one of my favourite Chisel songs, my favourite Jimmy solo song is "When your love is gone", followed by a close "Lay down your Guns" Both off his "Two Fires" album (every track on the album rocks - it had like 5 top 10 hit songs when it was released). the video for "When your love is gone" is pretty cool too, it has his kids in it (when they were like 5) as backup singers, they are all grown up now, and are all very talented musicians. Cold chisel, jimmy and a guy named Ian Moss (lead guitarist) shared roles as lead singer, both have great voices, very different, but complement each other so well.

My favourite cold chisel songs are choirgirl, cheap wine, bow river, when the war is over, khe sahn, flame trees, forever now, basically all there songs are good. Jimmy barnes also has many solo songs such as working class man and also has duets with John Farnham (something is wrong with my baby) and INXS (good times) plus him singing “a change is going to come” and “knocking on heavens door” and “when a man loves a woman” are legendary. John Farnham can sing anything and he does a great cover of Beatles song “help” ❤

Jimmy often talks about his love of soul music and how it inspires him, and years ago, he released an album called ‘Soul Deep’ which is an album of covers and was his 6th consecutive number-one album. There’s The Teskey Brothers, Matt Corby, Guy Sebastian, Vanessa Amorosi, Tina Arena, Karise Eden, INXS, Midnight Oil, AC/DC just to name a few. John Farnham and Jimmy Barnes both have 50+ years of music. Australian music is pure, raw, unadulterated magic. You really need to balance your sound. Your voice is way too loud in relation to the performance. 👍😁
