Bulb orientation is also important. Sometimes, depending on the bulb, if it's installed properly, you don't need to re-aim them. However, I should always check em anyway with tires properly inflated on a level surface.

Using the Smith System, you should look or be clearly able to see 10-15 seconds ahead of your vehicle at all times, according to your ground speed. So, roughly 200 to 250ft ahead is considered adequate. If that can be achieved without harming or blinding others would be sublime. In some setups it's almost impossible to accommodate everyone or anyone accept the proper fitment and safety per your vehicle.

You should also have someone about the same weight as you sit in the driver's seat while you adjust them. Owner's manuals even say to do this.

No, absolutely not. Both headlight should be exactly a the same level. However, the beam pattern is asymmetric. It's flat to the left, but goes up to the right.

I don't know if I've been doing this wrong.... but for as long as I can remember, I always adjust my low beams to as high as possible, WITHOUT blinding on-coming drivers. I do this by adjusting the lights and leave the truck on the street in front of my house... then I drive my other car and go to end of the street and drive back to see if my truck's low-beams are blinding or annoying to my own eyes.

@xDownSetx8 ай бұрын
LEDs are fine as long as they're designed to work with the stock headlight housing. The low beam has to throw light in a specific direction like halogens do. The shitty LEDs will just throw light in every direction.

Have you come a pattern L shape coming out reflecting on the plastic of headlight. Causes a rectangle shape of light. Over the cut off. Tried different leds same on projectors 😊

This is usually caused by road sign reflectors, a small light that would be used above the cut off to light up road-signs so you can read them easily.
