Just researching the techair 5. Guessing yours was the older version. You had broken your neck in 3 places from the 1st crash....how the heck were you able or even allowed to race 6 weeks later to crash again and did that have a compounded effect on the breaks? Have you tried any of the airbag pants?

You’ve had multiple severe crashes in one year, one at 80 mph impact, and you say the street is more dangerous. Not really man, I’ve done track days and the number of ambulances leaving per rider involved is far higher than you see on the street. Racing is even worse. You’re just telling yourself this to feel better.

Street has more variables present during the crash. On a track, it is somewhat controlled. Some can be catastrophic. With street, if you have a 2.5k lb car hit your bike, you're screwed. You also have road furniture you need to worry about hitting as well.

Lmao, that's because people are riding WAY harder on the track. Go ride as hard on the street as you do on the track. The ambulance won't even need to put on its lights.

aluisious what would I feel better about? Racers will crash because we are always finding the limit. Riding on the street or canyon is far more dangerous for many reasons regardless of how you ride. You don't have to be riding hard on the streets to go off a cliff, have a car pull in front of you, get run off the road, lose traction from a car that spilled oil on the road, etc. The list goes on. There are far more accidents and fatalities for street riders than there ever will be for racers. Race tracks are controlled environments. Having an airbag gives you a little more control over your safety. Ride safe
