So the rockets 280 meters or 853 feet tall. For size comparison, the Eiffel Tower is only about 100 ft more at 984 ft.

If it's 100 feet more than the Burj khalifa would only be 310 meters or so. The Burj khalifa actually stands at 800 something meters

I love just how rigid and rough everything this rocket does is. the stage transitions, the burns themselves. Everything feels so very Kerbal.

How recently have you played KSP? Prior to 1.1, landing legs used to be fairly flimsy but after the update they are now surprisingly strong.

So this is what you've been doing this whole time! How low was the FPS at launch?
@Stratzenblitz758 жыл бұрын
At launch, I maybe got 1-2 frames per second; It was so low that the sound actually cut out between frames. Because of this, it took almost an hour to reach orbit.

@Clonos: Your computer must be an absolute potato. My MacBook Air averages 20 FPS, at native resolution (1440 x 900), with all of the graphics options turned all the way up. Of course, I would never even consider building something like the monstrosity featured in this video. ;-)

All the blurbs in the top left of the screen with timestamps, for anyone that cares. 0:42 - KSC - Cape Canaveral Weighing in at over 48 kilotons and rising over 260 meters tall, the Sarnus V is the largest rocket I’ve ever build in KSP. Another interesting fact about this rocket is that… Wait a minute, do you smell something burning? 1:00 - Liftoff 1:28 - Stage 2 Ignition 1:37 - Stage 3 Ignition 1:43 - Stage 4 Ignition 1:47 - Stage 5 Ignition 1:51 - Stage 6 Ignition 1:55 - Stage 7 Ignition 2:03 - Stage 8 Ignition 2:11 - Orbit Achieved 2:19 - Low Earth Orbit Who said the LES can’t be used for altitude control? Hey, without RCS or good reaction wheels, I have to make do with what I’ve got. 2:26 - Translunar Injection Burn Part 1 2:42 - Translunar Injection Burn Part 2 2:50 - -Mün- Moon Transfer And we’re off to the -mün- moon! 2:51 - Refining Lunar Encounter 3:01 - Capture Burn 3:10 - Orbital Reconfiguration 3:20 - Transferring Crew 3:25 - Lander Undock 3:31 - Deorbit Burn 3:43 - Main Decent Butn 3:52 - Lander Released 3:58 - Boing 4:02 - Another Boing 4:09 - This is a bouncy landing 4:11 - One last Boing 4:19 - Moon Landing Flawless touchdown! I assure you, the summersaulting was not a panicked attempt to regain control of the lander after a botched landing. It was merely a part of the routine. 4:50 - Ascent Preparation Rendezvousing using only SRBs presents some… challenges… to say the least. As a result, I am lowering the return vehicle’s orbit so that it passes directly over the lander. Thus, I can preform a direct ascent to the return vehicle, minimizing the number of burns required to rendezvous. 4:51 - Rendezvous Burn 1 5:00 - Coast Phase 5:18 - Lunar Liftoff 5:24 - Assent Stage Ignition 5:34 - Capsule Separation 5:40 - Rendezvous Burn 2 5:47 - Rendezvous Burn 3 6:01 - Low Moon Orbit Docked! Since I am environmentally conscious, I will not leave any orbital debris behind. Farewell, lander can! (Ignore the discarded SRBs. They are boosters and thus sacred to kerbal kind.) 6:20 - Transearth Injection Burn 6:44 - Course Correction Burn 6:48 - Return Stage Separation 6:59 - Reentry Begins 7:14 - Reentry RSS is brutal to those stock heatshields. A moon transfer reentry, in this case, chews through two 2.5 m heatsheilds. 7:30 - Drogue Chutes Deploy 7:36 - Main Chutes Deploy 7:44 - Splashdown Hope you enjoyed :)

I admire the humility of the moon landing flips, especially considering there aren't many KSP players who could recover in those circumstances. There's a reason we have enough fuel to execute a controlled landing.
