Scandinavian scandi grind edge is really sharp and a big favorite in the Bushcraft community, it's a good solid knife with a full tang ,and priced very well with Swedish Steel. 😊

I really like this knifes design. Especially at the end of the cutting edge. When they put a end to the grind if done wrong it makes the knife get hung up. Little details are what matters in the selection we have nowadays. I hope you understand what i was talking about. Im not the best explaining in writing. Im a hands on type. Not sure about the sheath. But kydex is easy once you know. Kydex is the way! This one slipped past but i caught it. Always a pleasure to see you videos and opinions. Stay healthy we just lost one icon from youtube. I believe ive been following you and Paul since i got a phone with access. Your channel Paul Harrell and Tac were my go to entertainment.

I have one of these, nice knife. I had a spare BPS Knives(I think) leather sheath that fit it perfect so I swapped to that and now I like it even more(not big on the sheath it came with).

I believe 14c28n is replacing Sandvik's old 12c27. Admiral Steel is closing out 12c27. All they have is 5/32" thickness. But they have a full range of thicknesses in 14c28n.

Thats a sweet looking knife and I've thought about getting one and just buying a Brisa sheath or BPS sheath for it. That's one nice scandi design and excellent steel. That sheath is really odd 🤔

Thanks for the introduction. The video was good. The knife looks good. A knife will never replace an axe. It's hard to imagine a situation where someone would have to manage with just a knife if they are prepared. Why don't knife makers make a sharp edge for the spark iron even in front of the handle to the top edge of the blade? That knife sheath is a bit strange. I think all knives should have a functional sheath. Many a good knife is ruined by a bad sheath. Almost all people are unable or unwilling to make changes to the purchased goods.

Great video. Quick question, if you needed to live in the woods for 6 months, would you choose the Off Grid Caiman, or Esee 6?

I would choose the Caiman, because it is a lot less expensive and sharper.

@@WeAllJuggleKnives so the Caiman is sharper than that flat grind? People must just love the name brand hype. Almost like, "it cost more so they think it is better.
