The facts speak for themselves. The REASON why you do not see any say black women and men in the private sector high paying jobs has to do with THEIR attitudes and skills. City jobs put quotas on themselves as far as race, ethnicity, and gender. That is why you see black people working for the city and other government jobs.

Any name can be beautiful, but try making the name about the kid & not about you. "John & I met in china so we are going to name her china" I mean what does that have to do with her future. Give your child a name that A) is respectable B) Beautiful... Not a direction, color, type of fruit, city destination.. A name should be more than something that "sounds cute".. It will be that persons legacy.
@KeliciaParks1510 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. I hate my ghetto sounding name because everyone mispronounced it. I personally would want to name my child something beautiful & unique. I love that you cleared this up, I think they are talking about names like "Bonequesha, and Laquifa" Names like those are in my opinion really rediculous and I feel like the parents weren't thinking about their children when they give them names like that.
@23imansaray8 жыл бұрын
People always assume that if kids are born to famous parents that they will never have to get a regular job. The truth is, you don't know what can happen. Having famous parents and them giving you a crazy name does not mean you are going to automatically make it big in Hollywood, it can actually make things worse or even harder. For example, Nicolas Cage's real last name is Coppola, he is the nephew of the director Francis Ford Coppola. Cage is Nicolas's middle name, so he goes by that so that people in Hollywood are not thinking he is using the Coppola name to get by. Demi Moore and Bruce Willis have a daughter name Rumer Willis, has done a few movies but even having two parents that were huge stars of the 80's does not automatically make her a big star too. I think it even works against her.

I've never had a problem with teasing or getting a job, in fact when I do go for an interview I'm complimented on its uniqueness. As far as names, let people name their children whatever they want to name them. Not everyone wants to give their child a simple name such as John, Sue, or Logan!!! My name fits me and my personality. Oh and for those who are wondering (because I know you are) I am a jr in nursing school, I've never stripped, been arrested, or any other stereotypical thing associated with "hood names."

I don't think there is anything wrong with giving your child special names. However, those names should be dignified and beautiful. I have met people who named their children names that sound like diseases. You never know who your child will be. Sometimes your name really can hurt you in regards to what you want to do with your life. A name that is appropriate for the entertainment industry many not necessarily be appropriate for an accountant. So, I think its great that parents want to give their children significant names, but they should also consider how that name could affect who they may become.

Kimberly Nyagathiri I am an African living in Africa. Maybe that was the wrong name to use as an example but I was pointing out that they have taken some names from Africa and made them look like a joke.
