In this video, I take you through the techniques and thought processes behind my method of drawing. I slow things down and talk through how I drew the hand in one of my recent artworks 'Harm'. It was interesting for me to spend some time considering the decisions I make when I'm drawing and finding the words to articulate them. I hope that this video provides some insight into my drawing practise.

I really appreciate the humility this artist shows with how he explains the way drawing makes him feel from the beginning of a piece to the end. It truly depicts the reality of what most of us artists go through. The way our brains and emotions work and how that comes through in our artistry. How our personalities correlate to our work and the manifestation of who we are inside, how we relate to the world that The Creator made for us to enjoy and how we express all of this. This relatability is one great quality that makes someone a wonderful teacher and easy to learn from without any sort of triggering of intimidation to the student. Beautiful! God bless.

I prefer tackling individual detail, one by one rather than applying a base layer with Mechanical or any other light pencil. Jono, doesn't applying a layer, consequently erasing the outlines for a large area make things overwhelming for you?! Anyway, the results are amazing!
