You don’t know how much I appreciate it you explaining the details of your process… So many tutorials just show you but don’t tell you what problems are being worked out in the thought process. I watch a lot of art videos and tutorials, yours by far has been the most helpful. Thank you so incredibly much!!!

I love listening to you, and laughed when you said "looks like she needs medical help". I have learned so much watching your videos. If you make a mistake when you're teaching, it helps those that may have that same mistake. I love your watercolor style, it's beautiful. I need to work on my back grounds, you inspire me. Hugs to you❤️

I just started watercolor recently and I don't have a natural eye for shadows and lights but learning... I have watched many great tutorials and they all make it look so easy, never even a little glitch in the process. Your tutorial added more value to me as you show how to fix little issues when they happen. Your explanations through out are very efficient! Thank you so much! Looking forward watching your other videos!🙏💖

Excellent primer on how to shade a portrait of a face. Only comment that I would like to make is obviously if you are sketching someone older the shading would be entirely different in spots. I also like the fact that you didn't need a whole bunch of fancy paints or colors --just the basics made a beautiful face portrait. So many videos obsess on colors and paint brands. I learned a lot from your video on shading and how to make my portraits look less flat and cartoony. I am an abstract painter but still want to know the essentials of portrait shading.

I've learned so much from this lesson. I constantly struggle with harsh lines and love seeing how you make sure that doesn't happen and the lines you do have are meant to be there. I'll have to watch this one again as I go through my next painting. Truly beautiful!!! Even down to the last highlight and blue color pencil dot.

Uhhh new sub and saving this in my watch later so I can follow along with you :) But the painting came out beautiful, I always struggle painting portraits with watercolors since I'm most accustomed to acrylics, but I'll have to give it a go!
@JaneBeata2 жыл бұрын
Hope you'll have a fun painting session and it's common for people who are used to mediums like acrylics, gouache or oils to struggle with watercolor at first, most of the approach is the other way around, but after a few exercises and studies you'll get the hang of it!
