Real tree work- Hickory removal with a spider lift and crane

I did a hickory last week. About 3 1/2 feet at base. 90 feet tall and about 80 feet wide. I have a big black and blue on inner thigh when spurs kicked out, wish I had a track lift. Nice job, great video.

i like how you guys leave the slings on the spar pieces once they are loaded on the truck, so that you dont have to reset them to unload. stupid little trick probably saves 20-30min everyday...nice effecient crew.

couple of things...trailer loading that machine on stacked mats is asking for trouble as the mats will slide on top of each other and if your tie down fails or is loose you will have a problem. 2nd ....pita to unload logs from the crane. You need a log truck. Also the mat white handles to move the mats around really work.

Friend rented a lift last week, took down 4 good sized pines. Pretty much from watching these videos. What would be even cooler is if you guys taught a safety class. I would pay good money to learn how to do this safely. BTW, 50 feet up feels more like 500 in a haulotte.

Real tree work? Compared to what? I would call that a easy removal. Real tree work wouldn't involve a tracked lift or crane, just spikes and some ropes.
