21:36 sir, what are you doing? This is not a safe or effective way to spot squats. You gotta basically hug them from behind and squat down with them then apply pressure upwards from under their arm armpits. He didn't need help anyway though.

Awesome video guys... How often does he do this routine? How does he incorporate throwing on lifting days (does he throw on lifting days)? I heard someone in the video mention doing the band work (six pack) after throwing (mixed with lots of stretching)?
@1DarkxIce311 жыл бұрын
good to see they do the under 15 seconds of explosive workout. never in baseball will you need longer than 15 seconds of muscle explosion. unless you hit an insider the parker(; which happens about twice a year

@Frozia_312 жыл бұрын
that's because like they said extremely powerful torque and lower body/core is what throws the ball harder, if you loose flexability by working your upper body it screws over your pitching career

27:10 a leg curl is definitely not multi joint. A curl is literally a one joint isolation movement where your knee bends. Okay, it's multi joint because both knees are moving lol

@henrybonette53797 жыл бұрын
A guy this tall should probably do low bar squats instead of a high bar squat. For someone with such long legs (assuming he does because he's 6'5), it's harder to hit depth on a high bar squat without bending you back over so much.
@jepoblete6 жыл бұрын
Henry Bonette actually he doesn’t all he needs to do is work on hip mobility and he can get down lower and probably his ankle mobility is super tight,
@jepoblete6 жыл бұрын
Henry Bonette his trainer shouldn’t load him up with so much weight too cuz his feet pronate a lot definitely needs to work on mobility for the hips and ankles

baseball players dont want to go down really low because that can cause knee problems for us so we go down far enough for the workout to actually work
@totodilezGB10 жыл бұрын
BaseballBRO9 You know that's completely untrue, right? And don't speak for all baseball players, the majority of players on my college team do full squats with no knee issues whatsoever. Don't spew nonsense to backup a lack of work ethic.

why can't baseball players squat to depth? I've seen verlander, capps, teixiera, and pence "squat" and none of them come close
@captainandroid40777 жыл бұрын
Poor mobility is probably the cause. Crazy amounts of baseball players don't have great hip mobility and aren't able to get to normal deep squat depths without compensating or hurting themselves.
@ChiefSupreme68035 ай бұрын
It's probably because they've been told that squatting deep is bad for your knees. But it's not.

This is some physical therapy shit, no bench, Olympic lifts, deadlifts nothing. I'm just saying to all those young kids watching, this is not how you get the strength to throw hard, this is only good if you have the genetics to naturally throw hard.

@jepoblete6 жыл бұрын
TJ RhO35s you have no idea what you are talking about, there are different phases of offseason training, if you knew what you were talking about there’s a system of how coaches train their athletes. All the heavy lifting and power lifts come at the end of the process. You obviously don’t know how to train. He’s working on explosiveness , agility and movement, but I’m sure you don’t know what that is
