HP at the battery is more like saying HP in the gas and not HP at the motor. Remember, HP at the battery still has to go through the motor before it even gets to the gears, wheels, and tires. There is a lot less power loss in an Electric Motor than an Internal Combustion Engine but it is still a factor. The power loss for an ICE car from the gas to the wheels is typically something like 60% or more. It is something like 10%-15% from the battery to the wheels in an efficient electric car.

Do you know the overall weight of your efficient wheel/tire combo is? Lower weight, although probably not much lower, along with reduced friction has to be helping. Your video should be interesting. Do you plan to do real world back-back testing of each wheel/tire combo?

@@mmark300 all weights will be in the video. Short story is that my front wheels are slightly heavier than the stock wheels and the back wheels are less than a pound lighter. There is no weight difference.

Max Discharge Value is the critical field. Make sure you log that value every single run. That value sets the limit for what your maximum HP will be. From your graph it looks like your Max Discharge Value was around 585 HP. My secret is that I launch with about 624 HP for Max Discharge Value. My HP graph stays close to max HP closer to 88 mph than yours does. The higher the max discharge value the MUCH quicker it will be. My wheels and tires aren't helping me at all. I just oiptimize the battery better. Heat the Battery next time and try it again. Your trap speed will increase significantly and that will help your 1/4 mile times. It won't help 0-60 mph much though. Don't expect a lot of gains there. You are already getting good times for 0-60 mph.

Yes, thanks, but the point of this video is to show what the perf 3 is capable of Without all of the prep and to graph the HP and Torque under these conditions. I'm calling this 'real world' conditions as we aren't typically driving around at close to 100% SoC and 120+ F battery temps. I thought I explained this in the video... I have previously tried to run with heating the battery and dropping some weight and only managed a 10.78 @ 126 mph. I wasn't able to make many runs and temps were dropping fast... I will start monitoring that Max Discharge field, thanks.

@@mmark300 yes, this is a good video. Definitely a real world 10.9. No doubt about that. Thank you for showing how quick it can be at that SOC. If you want to try for a hero run then definitely get that max discharge value closer to 624 HP. It will trap much higher then.

There is an issue with the Canbus data on the new Highland cars. It isn't accurate for front and rear power anymore. I believe Torque is calculated from those values so that probably isn't accurate either. Battery power seems to be accurate though.

@learningfast is a cheater 😂😂😂…Lighter wheels, optimal SOC, battery temp, track, just to say his car is faster than nearly everyone else who does 2.9 to 3.0 and 10.9 to 11.0 or even higher real world. I’ve literally seen dozens of runs now (including yours) that suggest he’s an extreme outlier or full of 💩. PS none of that hp/torque data matters unless it is measured at the wheels and these cars are nowhere near your figures. Lmk if you want the actual dyno runs of this car.

@@TundraMiami yes, a little bit of teasing (the cheater part), but the rest is 💯 true. These cars are not 10.6 10.7 cars without being manipulated in some way. They’re just not. There’s literally dozens of people and verified runs which prove my point. I’ve even seen multiple 7.0-7.1 1/8 mile runs and when you calculate that out for 1/4 mile it’s also 10.9 to 11.1.

@@Bimmer_BillLearningfast did basically no mods. He runs 18” tires mostly for comfort. Optimizing the battery is just smart and can be done anytime. Plus these cars are just as fast on the street as they are on a drag strip.

@@TundraMiami not true buddy. 18” wheels and tires give more grip and are lighter. Everyone knows that low profile tires aren’t great for hooking up/FORWARD grip. Look at every single drag race car if you don’t believe me. So, yeah he’s engaged in monkey business for clicks. His mods make it faster and like I said, I can literally pull up dozens of runs by others that prove me right. Have a nice day.
