3:50 Actually, I think they were alluding to the "no cloning theorem", which is actually a real thing. Basically, you can't make a perfect copy of something without altering or destroying the original. 12:10 I simply stacked the rusty cube on the shinny one and climbed over them. I then picked the cube up and placed it on the pressure pad. I didn't think about shooting the laser through the glass to activate the stairs

Fun fact, quantum mechanics does actually make perfect cloning impossible, if you try... you will theoretically teleport instead, because to make "the copy" you must technically destroy the original

I think I was struggling with those as usual but I think I kind of started to follow along. I think a better way to go about solving these is work back from the solution if possible. So start by trying to figure out where to get to, and then try to work back from there with the tools you have available

It is fundamentally impossible to create infinite "clones" (or, rather, "future versions") because, quite simply, you will age, and one of those future versions will die, meaning the amount of "clones" that could be created is most definitely a finite number. Whether the delay is 20 years or 1 second, there are only so many "clones" that could exist. Not sure what quantum mechanics has to do with it, just a matter of fact of the inevitability of death.

I think the game is referring in general to bringing your future self back to the past does not create two future selves that can come back etc. Similar to how you cant bring the cubes back from the future and bring the future version of that cube back from the future.

No it's referencing the "No-Cloning Theorem" from Quantum Mechanics, because they deconstruct you at the end of the chamber, and reconstruct you at the new chamber. But this "No-Cloning Theorem" states that you can't copy a Quantum State without destroying the original.

The laws of quantum mechanics do actually prove that you can't use a teleporting machine like that, one that disassembles you somewhere and resembles you somewhere else, to clone objects. I don't understand how it works but there is actually a no cloning theorem

In this case the game is actually right, in Quantum Mechanics there's a thing called the "No-Cloning Theorem", which states that you cannot perfectly copy a certain Quantum State without destroying the original Quantum State. So if consciousness depends on Quantum Physics, you can't make perfect clones. Now it *is* possible to make biological clones though! Where the DNA of the clone is identical to the original!
