best defense late game in forts is to just build a huge wall of portals in front of your boat(linked to each other in pairs) so that whenever anything is fired it either goes in the water or towards your enemy. obviously, the downside is that you also cannot shoot, but you can use it to store up materials to build like a nuke, delink a portal, and connect it to one in the back, so intern/opponent has no idea that a portal is not in defense mode, launch the nuke and then link the portal back in defense mode

@@toasty_the_fox yeah, but the enemy is not gonna be sitting there training their guns on you all the time. You can, if you are fast enough link it and shoot and delink it before the enemy shots come through.

@@normalchannel2185 no like the portal isn't invincible when it's being linked, it takes roughly 6? sniper shots to destroy completely when not being repaired and jesus christ you can breathe on it with a Minigun or literally any heavy weapon, even the Fire beam for christ's sake, and it shatters

Blitz one of the best combos imo is firebeaming an area (to severely weaken it) and then using the plasma laser on the same area like as soon as the firebeam ends. That way the plasma laser cuts way further in! Edit: Also put a little background bracing in front of your doors so your opponent can't tell when they're open (so they can't snipe your weapons)

hey blitz couldent you improve your portal technology by adding opening metal doors to stop cheeky snipers. just thinking that could stop a lucky shot either that or if you want to be cheecky you could probably unpair the portals and pair them back up when your ready to shoot idk seems pretty cheap but it would save all the rebuilding time.

portals allow to hide stuff in the base . but . they also let in enemy projectiles so if you build a portal it's better to have like 3 doors infront of it the reason why 3 and not 1 . . is because that stops allmost anything from getting into the portal and destabilizing yout base
