Those shoes are called the Long Fall Boots and they're normally in Portal 2 and without them you'd take fall damage like in Minecraft because jumping from large heights irl means we go splat. In the first Portal game we get the springs without any boots, so we're barefoot which is weirder. This mod definitely is using an alternative color palette version of the 3D model for Chell's Portal 2 design. They made the pants blue instead of orange and her hair orange instead of black.

If we had portals that could travel instantly across space, then we technically already could travel through time. Just accelerate one relativistically, and leave the other stationary! Then you can have a "closed time-like curve" and traveling around them in the right order will be time travel! Source: Real Theoretical Physicist here

I've watched a few videos of this being played and it seems like I'm the only one who couldn't figure out the "correct" way to do level 10 @ 5:00 I ended up putting a time portal just inside the main door, dropped the past cube on the same spot as you, went to the future and grabbed the future cube to bring it back and set it just on the ledge by the past cube closest to the button ledge, then portalled over to the stairs normally dropped a portal in one of the doors on the floor and then one right beside the center platform, fell in grabbed the future cube turned around and put it on the button. From there the rest is the same. Obviously I found the hard way, but still a way, and that's why I really love this kind of game

The whole dots thing is a trap. If you look at the times for the buttons, number 2 takes the longest to deactivate and number 3 is the fastest. Meaning if you do them in order of 2, 1 and 3 you have more time, than doing them in 1, 2 and 3 :p Nice work though.

Portal 2 happens a LONG time in the future. The beginning of the game notes an integer overflow error "You have been asleep 99999999999... days". Is it realistic that Chell would survive for a ridiculous period of time? No. But Portal isn't realistic. It's estimated Chell spent many tens of decades in stasis.

Considering that the facility in the present looks to be in better condition than the one in the first game and Portal is set in the Half-Life universe, I'd say probably the Seven Hour War is how it got so derelict in just 20 years.

i believe that green fields are green on one side and orange on the other. walk through the green, and you can place green portals. walk through the orange and you lose the ability to place green portals
